Vancouver- taxi vs. Transfer service
CruiszBug replied to QuattroRomeo's topic in West Coast Departures
I used to think the same thing! But we've been stranded by RCCL Special Access in both Seattle and Bayonne! We also had trouble at Canada Place trying to get an accessible cab to the Amtrak station. Finally had to walk for blocks to find the Uber/Lift pickup spot. (It is NOT at Canada Place but down the street a ways...) In Bayonne, they would not let us back in the terminal once they discovered there were no accessible shuttles ordered for the day (we pre-booked and paid months in advance). That was terrible being outside in the cold with a special needs child. The workers were actually covering her with their own coats since we were outside for over an hour trying to get a transfer to the airport! Now we are trying once more to find a reliable transfer to YVR for April 2024. -
This was my first time encountering it at all... I tried to cash out the entire $650, it would not let me! I kept going down until I reached $300, then it worked. I played some then cashed out. It would not let me do another amount of any kind. So I waited until the next day and still wouldn't work, so I went to the cashier. They told me the rule is to play 50% before you can transfer any more. This was on the recent Symphony Transatlantic.

It is a pub/hostel, but the top floor is a private room with an ensuite bathroom. That is what I booked. Yep! At least it is fairly close to the Waterloo Train Station which is a plus!

Well I did a "dumb" thing! I had been finding multiple lodgings and booking the refundable version as a temporary placeholder, until... I didn't! It is funny because this is the FIRST place I booked when I started looking and ended up cancelling after discovering it didn't have air conditioning! Found a super deal for the same one weeks later and didn't notice that I hit the non-refundable button, argghhh! So looks like (by default) I have finally found a place. The Rose & Crown at London Bridge (PUBLOVE). It is a cool looking pub with good reviews on the bar and food. I do have a private room and bath on the TOP floor with no lift. (SMH!) Great location, though so I should be fine!

Coastal kitchen, Access

Masters spend a LOT of money in the Casino, as do those that book suites. Royal is looking at the bottom line, as they should, in order to keep "afloat"! -
Here is a good hotel recommendation for London
CruiszBug replied to Cessna140's topic in British Isles/Western Europe
For my dates and one person it was $300-500 per night...(or is that GBP)? -
As I have been searching for the last few months trying to find a nice budget lodging which has easy access to trains/tubes. I will be arriving from LHR then departing to the cruise port in Southampton dragging my own bags. Thank you for your reply!

WestCord City Centre Hotel Amsterdam?
CruiszBug replied to Bruin Steve's topic in British Isles/Western Europe
Thank you for this post! I am also on the World Cruise disembarking in Amsterdam. I just booked for 3 nights post-cruise since I already have my airfare. Hope we meet onboard! I was able to get a similar rate! Looks like a great location, too. -
Does anyone have knowledge of The Belgrave Hotel? I am traveling solo and looking for a nice budget hotel. This one is in the Westminster area, I believe. It gets a "Fabulous" rating. Fingers crossed... I have it reserved with ability to cancel.
