dwyrick68w Posted August 13, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 13, 2018 We are headed on a cruise on the Magic in 33 days. It’s for our anniversary and plan on getting some massages. My question is it really cheaper to book online before hand? I know some people say they give you a little 25 dollar gift card to try and entice you to book spa services. We are traveling with two other couples so kind of want to get on the ship and and “figure out” when we want to do it. The 25 bucks isn’t going to make or break us doing it I’m just trying to see if it’s really cheaper online as advertised.
mDag Posted August 13, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 13, 2018 I don't remember pre-booking price comparisons, but they do offer fairly good deals if you book the first day. Sent from my LM-G710 using Tapatalk

mDag Posted August 13, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 13, 2018 Not cheap is it? Better to pre-book or wait until special offers on baord? Definitely not cheap. I did a seaweed wrap with swedish massage plus added hot stones. It was $300 by the time I added a tip! And this was supposedly $90 of the regular price because I booked on embark day. Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed it, but I probably wouldn't do it again. That was our splurge cruise because it was just us and no kids! evandbob Posted August 13, 2018 #5 Share Posted August 13, 2018 Spa port day specials are shown when you look to prebook. Remember that the gratuity is usually above the price listed and is added to the bill you receive after the service is over. You can always give more than the 18% add on tip if you like. riffatsea Posted August 13, 2018 #6 Share Posted August 13, 2018 Spa services prices are similar to the same services at most nice hotels. There are often port day specials .
gopackgo21 Posted August 13, 2018 #7 Share Posted August 13, 2018 You may also get a coupon for your anniversary. My husband and I went a few years ago during our anniversary and received quite a few goodies including a $100 spa gift card.
Surrealistic Posted August 13, 2018 #8 Share Posted August 13, 2018 Spa services prices are similar to the same services at most nice hotels. There are often port day specials . I agree and also any local spa (not talking about nail salon type day spa) where I live has comparable pricing. I am always amazed that people think it's really expensive on the ship. Taking advantage of port day specials I find it cheaper than at home.
cheermomof2girls Posted August 13, 2018 #9 Share Posted August 13, 2018 Last cruise I took advantage of a port day special, got a massage, scrub and facial for 199 I think. It was great, except for the hard core sales pitch at the end.
memecakes Posted August 13, 2018 #10 Share Posted August 13, 2018 If you book before you get on the ship you can get up to 30% off on your spa treatments. You must book three treatments. You get 10% off the first then 20% off the second and 30% the third. I saved over $100 on my spa treatments booking them this way. Also you are sure to get the times you want if you book before you sail. The good time slots fill up fast. Nancy
dwyrick68w Posted August 13, 2018 Author #11 Share Posted August 13, 2018 Thank you all for the help! I think we’ll go ahead and book before we sail!
