I'm a 1st time cruiser and was wondering what my obc be used for on Carnival Conquest?

OBC is just a credit to your account, then anything you charge to your account is deducted from it.

I think the only thing Carnival won’t let you charg3 to your account is future cruises.

On the cruise lines I sail there are some restrictions on how it can be used so let me suggest that you ask this question on the Carnival board to be 100% sure on what it cannot be used for. I suspect it is more then a future cruise. For example on many lines it cannot be used in the casino, for bingo, and for some lines for additional tips just to name a few. Again I would ask on that board.

That's unfortunate. On Carnival, it can be used for anything charged to your account (they do not charge deposits for future cruises to your account).

This is absolutely correct on Carnival. If you have for instance $50.00 OBC, $50.00 will simply be credited to your S & S account.
