Hi, I’m looking for suggestions, on sunday april 1st we are returning from our cruise on Celebrity Eclipse, docking at POM at 7 AM. I have a reservation at Courtyard South Beach for 3 night stay before going back home. So we have a little logistics problem here...I guess we can’t go to the hotel that early, check-in is at 3 pm only, what would you do? I’ll try to disembark as late as possible. Also are there always taxis at the pier to get us to the hotel? Thank you.

Take your time disembarking, catch a taxi (there are plenty) to the hotel, and see if your room is available. If not, the hotel will (most likely) store your luggage until the room is ready. Many hotels will let you use the amenities while waiting for the room. Give them a call and ask.

Just got to the hotel after you get off the ship. Often a room will be ready, and if not, they will store your bags. Hotels have procedures in place for this as they deal with it all day, every day. They'll check you in then call or text you when the room is ready. Drop your bags off at the hotel and go enjoy South Beach. You are worrying about nothing, I can assure you.

I have never been to a hotel, anywhere in the world, that did not store your bags if the room was not ready yet.

So just head to the hotel when you get off. If your room is not ready store your bags and head out and enjoy South Beach.

Make sure to make reservations for Dinner for the better places to eat. I highly recommend YardBird. Avoid eating at almost any place on Ocean Drive please.

Thank you all, it will be very useful information. It will be our first stay in Miami (and in Florida), we did two Carribean cruises before but all we saw of Florida was through the windows of the shuttles to and from airports.
