How do you find out carrier for your Port of Call

I have booked a private tour in Colombo, Sri Lanka, we are on the Majestic Princess and the tour guide has asked if I can find out the carrier for our cruise so that they can determine which gate we will use, does anyone know how we find this information.

Just tell them you are on the Majestic Princess. The cruise line is Princess, the ship Majestic.

I already told them that and I was surprised that they asked me to find out who the local carrier was, at the end of the day I am sure they will see the ship- Its quite big after all LOL

I would be hesitant to book a private tour with someone who did not know how to check the cruise ship schedules in his or her port.

Maybe they meant the port agent? Might need to talk to them to get access to the secured port area. Otherwise, what is the carrier?

I agree. It seems odd to ask a visitor for an info on your territory.

Sure sounds like they are asking what airline you are using to fly to Colombo so they know which gate at the airport to meet you at.

Maybe you need to say you are arriving by cruise ship. He may not recognize that the Majestic Princess is not an airplane.

That was my thought, both "carrier" and "gate" are airline terms.
