Platinum Boarding

We recently turned platinum. If the doors to the rooms are closed and we can have access to the rooms early, how do we get in through the doors.

We are sailing on the Pride and I do not believe they leave the key cards in the mailboxes.

Thank you

There will be a sign on the door stating that the cabins will be ready by 1:30. Then it says "If you are Diamond/Platinum or have FTTF, you are welcomed to enter" or something to that effect. As others mentioned, just open the door and walk through.

On our last 2 cruises in Jan and April, there was no Diamond/Platinum/FTTF statement on the doors.

Embarkation day is one of high workload for crew members otherwise not having direct passenger contact. They are wanting to get their side-job done and go back to working what they do during routine days. With that they many times just stand there at the elevator lobby and restrict access to the large majority of passengers not eligible for early cabin access.

I'd not make excuses for the crew, but all you need to do is show your proof of status or Faster To The Food and it's no problem. We've never had a problem beyond that for early access.

These are fire doors, they are heavy to open, but they are never locked, ever.
