rbslos18 Posted November 19, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 19, 2017 Has anyone stayed at the Le Meridien in San Francisco? It has incredible deals for us. Any restaurants near the hotel you liked? Comments would be welcomed and appreciated!. RB
Rare Keith1010 Posted November 19, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 19, 2017 Hopefully you will get some feedback on the hotel. If you have not done so already I would also read reviews on trip advisor. Keith
rbslos18 Posted November 19, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted November 19, 2017 Thanks Keith. I have read TripAdvisor and Google reviews. The 4.5 Star Le Meridien has great reviews. I just always feel reassured hearing from people like you. CC insights are generally spot on! Very in-line with my thinking. The price I found on Priceline ExpressDeals is amazing...$89.00 after Ebates. (If you need help with Ebates email me. I will walk your through it. I have received $535 dollars paid back to me the past year- mostly from travel. It’s free and easy money.) January 1 is always well discounted but Le Meridien’s occupancy must really be hurting this January 1. I had a good deal at the Grand Hyatt, but this is a deal I couldn’t pass up on. Keith, thanks for your veteran insights and tipping me off to Execucar and various hotels. People like me do listen to you and trust your judgement! Philob Posted November 19, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 19, 2017 (edited) Le Meridien is located in the Financial District adjacent to the 3-block long Embarcadero Center office complex. Plenty of places to eat, but most cater to the business crowd and may not be open on weekends. Tadish Grill a few blocks away on California Street. Back in the day it was one of the places for two martini lunches and still make it back to work. http://www.tadichgrill.com/ Yank Sing for dim sum on an expense account. http://yanksing.com/ Chinatown is a few blocks west, uphill, plenty of cheap Chinese food. Try R&G Lounge, upstairs is table cloth, in the basement is no table cloth, same food. http://rnglounge.com/ Mister Jiu's in Chinatown; just got their Michelin star. http://misterjius.com/ A short taxi ride or long walk north through Chinatown will take you to North Beach (SF's little Italy). Plenty of places to eat along Columbus Avenue including The Stinking Rose (if you like garlic). Le Central, is the place to go to see the "back room deals" being discussed by local, state and national leaders. Another place is US Restaurant. http://lecentralbistro.com/ http://originalusrestaurant.com/ Edited November 19, 2017 by Philob
