Do I need to put a card in the slot when I walk into the cabin ? If so can I use an old credit card ? Do I remove it when I leave the room ?

Not sure about Vista, but on the cruises I have taken that needed a card, I just used the stewards business card.

any ole card will do.

You can remove it or leave it, no big deal.

cabin steward may remove it when they finish servicing your cabin.

I don't understand these on a ship, but at land based hotels, these card slots remove all power to the room when not occupied thus saving lots of money on electricity and HVAC costs.

yes they have this feature, we are currently on the vista.

There was a piece of card board in ours, that we left in the slot, so we don't have to use our cards.

We are currently on the vista doing a daddy to day review for 2 weeks, come to the thread with any question, and we'll try to get you an answer.
