Noordam Question

Are the walls, ceiling, and doors of the staterooms magnetic?
They are a steel alloy, but in our experience it takes a strong magnet to hold much weight on them. The door frames work better.

For walls etc I suggest you get some "rare earth" magnets such as these: https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_18?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=rare-earth+magnets&sprefix=rare-earth+magnets%2Caps%2C357&crid=19C07ITX8HZ4T

I have tried magnets on just about all the HAL ships' cabin walls including Noordam and none have held.

Try the ceilings. That is what finally worked fo me and I was able to do a couple of things I could not do before - dry wet shoes by the ventilation outlet, and hang my toiletry kit in the bathroom. Now to figure out how to "hang" maps or other items I like to stick on the wall.
