$250.00 shipboard credit points redeemed

Recommended Posts

I called last week and used my rewards points to get $250.00 in shipboard credit. I gave him my confirmation number and he said that when I check in for the cruise it will be on my reservation. I thought I had gotten an email before from them when I did this. Anyone have any experience?

I normally get a confirmation email when I redeem points.

Another option is to ask whoever booked your cruise for Royal's Guest Copy of your booking confirmation. This will also show the Visa points OBC.

I just redeemed points yesterday for my cruise at the end of August.

The rewards center said it would take 2 -3 weeks to show up in my booking but they did send me a confirmation email with all the information for me to print and take with me just in case.

I am not expecting an email from Royal Caribbean but hope to see it in my booking before I leave.

I hope this is not a stupid question- but if you used a TA to book your cruise-is it done the same way? OR do I give the reward information to the TA to pass on. 1st time I have used a TA or gotten rewards points from my card. Thanks-melinda.

You redeem the points yourself using this website:

We have also redeemed points for OBC.... Our first time doing this.... My question, is this refundable or non-refundable OBC? Also, is there a way to use OBC for "extra" tips for room steward or concierge?

Would love to know how much I have to spend from day one [emoji4]

Visa points OBC is refundable.

You can use OBC to tip crewmembers. Just go to Guest Services and they have a form you can fill out to allocate extra tips to crewmembers.

I redeemed points for OBC a couple of weeks ago and my TA was able to go into the reservation and see it yesterday.

Keep in mind that "refundable" OBC goes back on your credit card.............and decreases your points. :)

You are better off making your SeaPass account "cash" and then cashing out your OBC in the casino.

You can go to Guest Services on the day prior to debarkation and ask for your VISA OBC to be refunded back to you in cash.
