Just discovered Ventura is in port on this evening. Is there anything special going on in Tenerife on this day?
I ask because when we originally booked we were due to leave in the afternoon.

It's a few days late but it might be to let you catch the tail end of the meteor showers if you are going to be there after dark?

"The Lyrid Meteor Shower is usually active between April 16 and 25 every year. It tends to peak around April 22 or 23. The Lyrids are named after constellation Lyra which is where they mostly radiate from. The Lyrids are created by debris from comet Thatcher, which takes about 415 years to orbit around the Sun."

When we went to Tenerife in 2015 it was an 11pm sailaway and that was the Tropical night when people wear Hawaiian shirts and there was a bit of a deck party as we sailed away.

next port Lanzarote not very far, now seems to be standard on Canaries cruises to leave late when next port is close
