loving2cruise Posted January 12, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 12, 2010 Hello :) I just booked a cruise on The Explorer Of the Seas ship out of Bayonne. I booked the large OV room, deck six in room 6682 in the back of the boat. Is there alot of motion in the back of the boat verses the center or forward cabins? I've never cruised in a cabin in the back of the boat before..usually center ship, deck 9 I've sailed, (once sailed in the front of the ship). I would appreciate anything about this room and anything about the ship. Any tips, suggestions, as it's my first time on The Explorer. Thanks so much :)

maxs mom Posted January 12, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 12, 2010 There will be a little more movement in the back of the ship, as well as in the front. Center cabins are best if you don't want too much movement. Think of a see saw.

patseacruiser Posted January 12, 2010 #8 Share Posted January 12, 2010 Love the Explorer. The main thing about being so aft is the walk you will have. I don't know about most people but I must walk to and from my cabin about 10 times a day. So you won't have to go to the gym.

cnybob Posted January 13, 2010 #13 Share Posted January 13, 2010 My wife and I sailed on the EOS in September to Bermuda. First time ever in an aft cabin...9690. We loved it. Nice thing about it was the room that you have to open up 2 deck lounge chairs. Never really noticed any excessive ship movement except for rocky seas on last night of cruise returning to Bayonne. Check out this website...gives a nice description of Voyager class ships........http://voyager-class.com Enjoy your trip

misskittykat Posted January 13, 2010 #15 Share Posted January 13, 2010 Having sailed in all three areas of EOS, I noticed slightly more motion in the front of the ship, but the back and center were fine. She is a gorgeous ship you will love her! I was on deck eight in the rear and noticed no movement at all.
