Making coffee in my cabin?

I guess some people like to travel with as little as possible. Like your husband I do an excel spread sheet and when something comes to mind I add it. The thing I think that surprises most people when I say I take a roll of duct tape- reason for that is in the event of a tear in luggage or broken handle- hey presto...
Hi Jeffrey,

WOW, our minds think the same.

I too take duct tape for repairs after one of our bags zipper broke. After that always.

We too take those zip plastic wire ties in case. We secure our hangers in a suitor secure.

Of course a small tube super glue or gorilla glue.

But surely it is up to the individual what they want to bring and as a very conscious planner I can assure you I have everything and then again some. And then there are some items of what I bring that just makes common sense. I must be doing something right because many people over the years have asked for a copy of my list. To me bringing the things I bring do not make it seem like a camping trip more common sense than anything.

Any chance you would share your list?

Thanks for the tip about two air fresheners, I hadn't thought of that. What a good idea!

We either bring onboard or order from the ship’s florist a few stems of fragrant lilies. They perfume the cabin and as soon as we enter we know we’re “home.” The bathroom is another matter entirely.

What a wonderful idea, to have fresh lilies in the cabin! They have a lasting and exotic scent. Wow! Can they be pre-ordered before embarcation?

On my last voyage November of 2017, There was a pod coffee maker in the room with a variety of pods, as well as a tea kettle. I usually drink tea in the morning before having coffee at breakfast. I bought Royal Blend bags from Fortnum and Mason, and Roibush sachets from the Mariage Freres boutique at Selfridges (in the lower level, as it turns out, the staff seem not to know that).

You can still get brewed coffee from the Butler or room steward as well.
