Aquadesiac Posted March 5, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 5, 2017 My DH and I are singers. We love our church and community choirs and will miss singing for the duration of a world cruise. I've heard some lines organize passenger choirs and they present mini concerts for each segment. But all the ones I've heard about are from a few years ago. Does anyone know if this is still a shipboard activity that's offered on a WC? If so, which line? Thanks!
Rare wishIweretravelling Posted March 6, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 6, 2017 Crystal Serenity did it on last year's WC,
Rare Scrapnana Posted March 6, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 6, 2017 Just checked with friends on this year's World Voyage on QM2. They have had choirs for the first two sectors so far.
Aquadesiac Posted March 6, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted March 6, 2017 I'd hoped that it was still being done on QM2, but you never know when a program will change. The Crystal choir is news to me. Thanks for the info!
Rare Keith1010 Posted April 7, 2017 #5 Share Posted April 7, 2017 As mentioned Crystal does this and they do it on each and every World Cruise. It is organized by one of the members of the Orchestra and includes guests and some of the enrichment personnel often including one of the clergy (Protestant Minister) and his wife. The perform two to three songs on each segment of the World Cruise so if say 7 segments a total of 14 to 21 songs. They practice during the segment and then perform for the guests. Aquadesiac Posted April 7, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted April 7, 2017 Thanks, Keith. It's good to know. Singing is such an important part of our lives, it would be hard to go without it for 3 months or so. Scrapnana, your friends on the QM2 aren't by chance blogging about their cruise are they? I'm following a couple on Oceania, HAL and Princess, but can't find a Cunard blogger. Thanks,
Rare Keith1010 Posted April 7, 2017 #7 Share Posted April 7, 2017 Aquadesica, you are welcome. Here is a photo of some of the guests and enrichment folks performing. They are accompanied by a pianist not in the photo.

Dcoy Posted April 20, 2017 #12 Share Posted April 20, 2017 My World Voyage on Cunard's Queen Victoria a few years ago had one during our segments that had a lot of sea days. They're performances were very good. Don
