Holy Dooley!!!!! That is going to be something to see!!!! It will just massively dominate that area of Circular Quay, Opera House and Harbour Bridge.

EDIT - however I note that there is no mention of this in the Sydney Port Schedule http://www.sydneyports.com.au/port_operations/cruise_schedule

Sydney Ports has just updated it on the website Barry.

I can't wait to see the pictures! I imagine the crowds will be enormous. What an event this is going to be especially for the sail away.

I wonder if they are going to back her into the berth?

Any webcam links that can be recommended?

Fantastic! I'm boarding that day. I wonder when Cunard will tell me about the change in arrangements - no boarding at Darling Harbour and catching a catamaran I'm guessing...

I just had an "emergency notification" from Cunard by email that says:

Queen Mary 2 will now berth at the Overseas Passenger Terminal in Circular Quay in Sydney on 7 and 8 March, rather than Barangaroo Wharf 5 as previously advised.

Due to limited terminal facilities at the Overseas Passenger Terminal and to ensure a smooth start to your voyage, we will be operating a staggered check-in on 7 March. We kindly request that you arrive at or shortly after your scheduled check-in time as published in your documentation. Guests who arrive earlier than their nominated time will be able to drop their luggage at the wharf from 8.00am and will be asked to return later at their designated check-in time. Please note there is no seating area at the terminal.

I think I'll arrive early anyway...
