Colorado Babe Posted September 13, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 13, 2018 We will be sailing on the Navigator of the Seas in Dec out of Miami. Is it possible to make a 10:45 a.m. flight from Miami cruise port to Fort Lauderdale airport if the ship gets into port at 7:00 a.m. on a Sunday? All the flights from Miami have 1 or 2 stops going home to Denver. We would rather catch a non stop. We plan on getting an escort off the ship by the Conceirge and walking off our bags and catching a taxi. Is it doable?
Clarea Posted September 13, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 13, 2018 Yes, it's doable if everything goes perfectly. However, it would be too early a flight for my stress level.
Colorado Babe Posted September 13, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted September 13, 2018 Thanks Bob. We are going to chance it. I hear Miami Airport is a nightmare and want to avoid it at all cost.

I would be sure to be in the self-assist line at least an hour before scheduled arrival time.
cb at sea Posted September 14, 2018 #5 Share Posted September 14, 2018 If you were flying out of Miami, I'd say certainly. Since you're flying out of Ft. Laud...no...too early. A taxi is WAY too expensive...almost $100 to Ft. Laud. A shuttle service is more cost effective.

If the concierge escorts us off the ship we won’t have to do that? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Clarea Posted September 14, 2018 #7 Share Posted September 14, 2018 If the concierge escorts us off the ship we won’t have to do that? Ask the concierge which way would get you off the ship the fastest. You really have no time to spare.

Royal_Cruise_Bear Posted September 14, 2018 #10 Share Posted September 14, 2018 What about leaving the ship LATE, stay in a hotel for one additional night and have a great day in Miami? :o This would be my solution for keeping this feeling of well being, instead of being in a hurry, missing my flight with all this trouble. Maybe it could work for you?
