Rare Peachypooh Posted December 3, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 3, 2017 I am sure the answer is yes but I can't seem to find the information. Long ago when we went on a smaller ship we docked right there downtown and I much preferred it to King's Wharf. Walking distance to downtown where there were churches, upscale shopping, etc. thanks. Rare Keith1010 Posted December 3, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 3, 2017 Yes always have been the smaller ships. Back when I first sailed it a couple of times we were on the former Celebrity Horizon and sailed it two years in a row and docked part of the time in Hamilton. Very special to be docked there. marco Posted December 3, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 3, 2017 I remember too, when some of the ships would first call at St George and stay overnight and then sail to Hamilton. Some folks would get up early, take the bus or ferry to Hamilton, and watch "thier" ship dock there.
Rare Keith1010 Posted December 3, 2017 #7 Share Posted December 3, 2017 marco I also remember that. I also remember the days that cruise ships could only visit on weekdays and not weekends so that it was less busy for the locals on the weekends. Those days are long gone.
