We will be taking a taxi to Pier 91. What do you suggest as better options? I thought picking up two bottles on our way out of the airport would be easier than stopping and having the taxi wait. I don't think they sell wine at the pier terminal (Holland America).

Esquin Wine is right on the way from the airport off of 99. You can probably even pre-order online and just have the cab drive by and pick it up.

Or you could stop at the Wine Outlet right on Elliott Avenue a couple of blocks south of the turnoff to the cruise terminal, or shoot a block past the cruise terminal to the big Whole Foods on 15th, then back to the dock. The cab would wait for you, and the extra time on the cab's clock would probably be less than the premium you'd pay at the tourist shop in the airport.

PS they sell wine in Alaska, too.

We’re staying downtown at Staypineapple Hotel Five on Fifth ave. Is there somewhere in the area where we can pick up a couple of bottles of wine?

Your hotel has a free shuttle that will take you to any of the local wine and liquor stores.:)
