flight out of FLL after

Thoughts if I can make a 9:10 flight out of FLL after seaside cruise if I take Uber or Lift and self disembark?

Just got off this past saturday and self disembark didn't start until 7:15 am. Way to early out of Fll

Agree.... even if the ship docked in FLL.... it would be a real tight squeeze and EVERYTHING would have to go off perfect. Not my way of ending a relaxful week of vacation!!

It's almost 30 miles from the Miami cruise port to FLL, so let's say it takes 30 minutes. If you were off the ship at exactly 7 am (highly unlikely), at a minimum you'd get to FLL at 7:35-ish, assuming your taxi was there right on the dot. You still have to go through security and get your bag checked (assuming you didn't do carry-on only). Most carriers I've flown with require you to be at the gate 45 minutes before since they begin boarding 30 minutes before (assuming you're flying domestically) and they'll shut the door to the plane 10 minutes or so before departure. It would be a miracle to catch a 9:10 flight under those circumstances.

Way too early, I don´t think you could make it.

If you take an uber or lyft, it takes a while for them to get there. Took us 20 minutes for us to get ours even when the app said 5 minutes.

I once took a cab from MIA to FLL and it took us almost an hour. Wouldn´t risk it.

We have a flight out of FLL at 11:30 am. We are YC and will have carry-on luggage only. I feel like i can make it easily. Thoughts?

Just got off this past Sat and was in YC. Butler has you off the ship in 5-10 mins easy self embark. Grabbed uber and was at Fll airport at 8:30 am. Was sitting at gate at 9:10 am. So yes I could have made that 11:30 flight that morning.

11:00 is the earliest without stressing. That is still tight.

I was at the airport Miami airport by 7:50 first cruise. Add 30 to that and your in fll by 8:20. So technically possible, but a higher risk that id be willing to take without a plan b.

Maryiame- on my yc sailing we were butler escorted and the first off, but it was pushing 11:00 am due to ship arriving late. Lots of people missed their flights they day. This is an anomaly though, 9 times out of 10 an 11:30 flight is more than enough time.

I always have a plan b that includes a document with all departure and times listed just in case and advise the same.

I wouldn't book that early even if the port was at the airport. We are doing 1145am out of FLL and even that has me wondering... not a whole lot, but I know there is a slight chance of it being close.

Life is unpredictable, today first time in 26 cruises we got fogged out of Jaxport, only docked at 12:15 and we got off at 2:15.... I think a number of passengers missed their flights.
