Does anyone know if there are coffee/tea making facilities (or electric kettles) in the Oceanview Obstructed view cabins on deck 8 please.

If not, presumably we can bring a flask to fill with hot water in the bar/buffet and make coffee/tea in the cabin later.?

I have never seen coffee or tea making facilities at that level. No reason not to take a flask.

I am currently on the jewel. I asked at guest services for you and they said the cabins on deck 8 do not have coffee machines.

Wide mouth thermos flask is fine. :-)

Certainly suites and above.

That is correct. Balcony suites get a drip machine (supplied with "coffee bags") and mini suites and above get pod machines. I am in a balcony so I brought 4 cup coffee filters, whole beans and a hand coffee grinder :-)

We were in a standard balcony on the jewel last May, and we had a coffee maker in the room.

We wash our smalls in the bathroom sink and hang them on a line in the shower overnight. You have to send anything larger to the laundry. Look out for the special "All you can put in the bag for $20" about every 7 days.

You can use the hand basin to wash clothes and hang them in the shower which has a clothes line long enough for three t-shirts.

When you go ashore can you return at any time before next sailing or is there a curfew time?

No curfew, it is just like being in a hotel, come and go as you please.
