meandmaboy Posted August 15, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 15, 2018 Not at all, when going thro security, I just point out thats my meds & blood testing equipment, there has never been an issue. I keep a little empty strip box to put used lancets & test strips in.
Rare CruisinCrow Posted August 15, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 15, 2018 Our cabin on Sun had a red biohazard box in the bathroom. I'm not diabetic but guessed it must be for disposing of the finger stick materials.
dexddd Posted August 15, 2018 #5 Share Posted August 15, 2018 From looking into various rooms and staying in various rooms the past couple years the red boxes have been put into every room.

KittyloverCA Posted August 16, 2018 #7 Share Posted August 16, 2018 Do they have a problem with bringing on lancets to test my blood sugar? We noticed our bathroom had a sharps container in it (we put it out of the way as we didn’t need it)
Rare BirdTravels Posted August 16, 2018 #8 Share Posted August 16, 2018 Do they have a problem with bringing on lancets to test my blood sugar? No problem. Make sure that your used lancets go into a sharps container. Just before you disembark, move the sticker from the side to top of the sharps container to seal it. Btw: no need to mention it at any security check point.
Bitterman Posted August 16, 2018 #9 Share Posted August 16, 2018 I've never had a problem with my blood testing supplies, pen needles, insulin, etc., either. I usually will tell the security screener when boarding as a heads up for them. On our last cruise the screener pretty much told me "we don't care, we're not the TSA", lol.
