A-n-T Posted July 24, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 24, 2018 Hello All, While I do love these boards and find a lot of information from them, sometimes they confuse even me. We are sailing around New Zealand from / to Sydney Australia in November. We are in a regular balcony cabin (non-suite). Is access to the Solarium Free? For Suites only? Can I pay to get in if it is not free? Thanks for anyone who can help. -Tobes.

The confusion is because on sailings from China, the Solarium is limited to gold card holders (suites and P).
bonsai3s Posted July 24, 2018 #4 Share Posted July 24, 2018 The confusion is because on sailings from China, the Solarium is limited to gold card holders (suites and P). That's correct, free access to sailings in Auz/Nz...not so in China. In addition, in China, you have to pay for the Northstar, IFly, and Flowrider...in Aus/Nz you don't. In China, Wonderland is an upscale Chinese restaurant specializing in Peking Duck. The Diamond Lounge becomes a "high roller" casino in China. You'll see signs in Chinese all over the ship. The one thing that remained the same for both the Chinese and Australian sailings is Kung Fu Panda on deck 14. And oh, they serve a decent breakfast in the Solarium. Happy Sailing! :) Note: If it's your first time in Australia, and spending time in Sydney, please consider using the the Opal Card to get around Sydney. The Opal Card will give you access to trains, buses, and ferries. You can use it as much as you want during the day and the maximum you'll pay (card will be debited) is 15AusDollars...what a deal! Rare Oceansaway17 Posted July 27, 2018 #7 Share Posted July 27, 2018 Seems a shame they raise the prices for the Asian market. I would think it will eventually make the Asian market upset and this practice.
