Casino Points / Short Cruises

Does anyone who's been on the Enchantment or Majesty recently know if the requirements for points are the same on the 3 night cruise as a 7 night cruise? The last two cruises have been 7 and 8 nights and because of the time we have qualified for casino offers and possibly drinks in the casino. We decided to book a weekend getaway though the casino and we were able to use the certificates from the last cruise (odd as they let us use both and it was WAAYYY after the 30 days we last cruised and earned them.)

My question is that since its a 3 night with a day at Nassau and a day at the island we won't have as much time in the casino as a 7 night (though the casino is open before we get to Nassau and during the day at the island) I'm ok with not getting enough points to get any certificate but will we loose out on drinks as well if we don't get the 1000 (or 1200 points) on this 3 night cruise?

I'm not sure about this, but I think they take into account the length of the cruise and how much of that time you spend gambling in the casino. We have received better certificates after a 4 or 5 night cruise than we did on our most recent 7 nighter.

I've sailed on 5 night, 7 night and 12 night cruises on Anthem, and the certificates were the same $100 for 400 points, $200 for 800, $300 for 1200, $400 for 1600, $500 FOR 2000, Free inside or $500 FOR 2400. I was told, at least on Anthem, to get a VIP sticker on your Sea Pass you had to maintain at least 1000 point no matter how long the cruise.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. We also have first time to RCI cruisers coming with us now so my time in the casino might even be shorter. In the end I'm sure things will work out. It's nice to get "free" drinks in the casino but when you look back at it buying a drink package is actually cheaper than the "free" drinks turn out to be. :) I think my plan for this cruise is on the first night with a couple of thousand and not worry about it. :D Sounds like a good idea in theory.

Your Casino Royale status is only as good as your last cruise meaning if you don't earn at least 1200 points, you won't be a "VIP" on your next cruise. No free drinks, no fee free cash advances, etc.

A bit of added detail to this based on what I was told.

The way things supposedly work these days is that once you earn 1500 points during a cruise, you become "VIP" for the rest of that cruise and you also get "VIP" status for your next cruise.

When you have "VIP" status for a cruise, you need to earn 1000 points to continue to have "VIP" status on your next cruise.

In other words, once you've earned your initial 1500 points during a cruise, you only need to earn 1000 points during each subsequent cruise to maintain your "VIP" status.
