We were on the Paul Gauguin in February, 2010 - LOVED IT!!!!!!!! Bora Bora cruises is now defunct. We were anchored next to the Tua Moana and the Tia Moana in Raiatea (these are Bora Bora cruises 2 small luxury yachts). I thought, "hmm, that's odd that they are both in the same port on the same day." Turns out they were "For Sale", according to the skeleton crew that were on board.

I just received a ton of information about Paul G. cruises and it's certainly at the top of my cruise bucket list. The catalogue alone screams luxury!

Tahiti and French Polynesia had been on our "bucket list" for a while, so in August, 2010 we did an 11-day cruise on the Paul Gauguin. Our other four cruises have been with Regent, which used to own and operate the PG until last year. PG is now independently owned.

Many things on the PG reminded us of the Regent ships; the service, food, accommodations etc. The ambiance is very luxurious, yet relaxed. It's a FUN ship and everyone seems to have fun.

Definitely do it - you won't regret it but will probably return! (as we're planning to do):)

We recently returned from 21 nites aboard Paul Gauguin in French Polynesia. It was spectacular in every way! Accommodation, food, service - all top notch. But what really sets PG apart is their intense focus on all things Polynesian. Ship decor is understated with Polynesian touches and artwork throughout. Multi-talented Tahitian hostesses, called Les Gauguines, serve as ambassadors and cruise staff. Menus are designed to showcase local ingredients. Resident lecturers and naturalists are experts on the archaeology, culture and geology of the Islands. Paul Gauguin is not just another cruise ship plying the waters of French Polynesia. It is the only choice for an immersive, yet luxurious, experience. And as Wripro noted, they are having a 2-week sale right now!
