Well if you know who will be the staff on the Oosterdam after its drydock I would love to know....

Sorry, but for a lot of positions, even HAL doesn't know just yet! That would be great if employees had planning that far out. They have a prelim Capt and hotman list, but I doubt that it will be the same.

It's pretty much the same, there are a few changes (see below for changes in respect to the cruises that fall over Thanksgiving). HAL puts its best staff on the x-mas/new years cruises and doesn't worry about Thanksgiving as much. Don't get me wrong, it's still a great time to cruise.

I have WORKED several times with Captain PJ and in all of his announcements he has never ONCE dropped the van in front of van Maurik. I am not sure what you are remembering, but he encourages people to call him Captain PJ and when on the loudspeaker, only says, "This is your Captain speaking." Dropping the van would be like calling someone Mr. Ith instead of Mr. Smith. Having spent over 6 months combines with PJ in the past, I am sorry, but this is incorrect.
