terrascape Posted September 16, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 16, 2009 We would like to vist San Jose Del Cabo while on our upcoming cruise. How are the cab fares over to San Jose from Cabo ? Dont really have much interest in a full blown tour, as we "have seen that, done that...". We just want a few hours in San Jose and maybe enjoy lunch at the Tropicana Inn. Any ideas on transportation would be appreciated. Thanks
househunter Posted September 16, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 16, 2009 A cab will be about $40-$50 each way to San Jose. It is about 20 miles or 30 minutes away.
gtaylor Posted September 16, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 16, 2009 Last trip we asked about taking a local bus from Cabo San Lucas to San Jose del Cabo, and were directed to a bus stop on the main road, just outside the Puerto Pariso Mall. We were told that the fare would be 23-25 Pesos each. We like San Jose. I have some photos posted over in my PhotoBucket. gary
rjscott Posted September 16, 2009 #4 Share Posted September 16, 2009 Terrascape, last year on our MR cruise, we hired a driver and went to San Jose del Cabo for several hours. We used the services of Johann & Sandra to secure the driver & vehicle, but the driver was provided thru Trans Cabo. There were 4 of us, so sharing the cost made it more reasonable for our day. If it is just two of you, perhaps not such a great idea. But, our driver was dressed very professionally; the van was new and very clean. The driver was right on time and was very eager to please. He stopped at a couple of beaches on our way to San Jose del Cabo so that we could take some photos, and then recommended the Tropicana to us for lunch, told us where he would meet us, and left us to our wanderings. On the way back to the ship, he, at our request, stopped at a convenience store so that we could purchase some sodas to take back to the ship. A very enjoyable day. BandK10 Posted September 16, 2009 #5 Share Posted September 16, 2009 We've taken the bus a number of times when we've been to Cabo in the past. Kind of fun to sit with the locals and you can't beat the price! :D
Sunny AZ Girl Posted September 16, 2009 #6 Share Posted September 16, 2009 We also have a driver hired through Johann & Sandra. Any other suggestions for great photo stops or other places of interest? I know I want to stop at the Glass Blowing Factory. We leave in two weeks!:D
