kerri1jill Posted November 11, 2009 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2009 Ok, I've been told a couple of different things by friends who cruise alot and I'm trying to figure out exactly how it works so I can make a choice of which option to take. Four cruisers, booked in two different rooms, booked a c&a member in each room so we could take the $125 per cabin certificate off both rooms. However, both C&A members will be in same room. I've been told after boarding we can go to the desk and either request a an extra room key or we can ask to have everyone switched to the rooms they are supposed to be in. My questions are.... 1) If we just ask for a different room key, how does each couple access there own onboard account. Do they show both onboard accounts on the TV? or just the one for the first person listed on the reservation? 2) If we just ask to have everyone switched to the right rooms and get everything straightened out, will they try and take the $125 coupon away from the second couple who are not c&a members? (I was told if we wait till we are onboard, they won't take this coupon away)

(I was told if we wait till we are onboard, they won't take this coupon away) We are doing much the same thing in one month. Have DH booked in with one of the kids, but he will be in my cabin. We were able to have the C & A discount on both cabins that way as well. I have also been told that once onboard, they don't care what cabin you are really staying in and will arrange your cards the way you want them. My question is... We have had price drops on two of our three cabins and therefore have OBC's waiting for us. :D However, we want all the OBC to be on our accounts, not the kids. One of the price drops was on a cabin that has only our kids booked in it. Will they make that change once we are onboard? I sure hope so.
cb at sea Posted November 11, 2009 #5 Share Posted November 11, 2009 Once you're booked, they don't care who will be where. When you checkin, just tell them who will be in which room, and tell them how you want the accounts set up....get it right from the start...no switching keys/rooms later! patseacruiser Posted November 11, 2009 #7 Share Posted November 11, 2009 If you trade keys the sail and sign accounts will be screwed up. As far as the on board credit - I don't believe they will switch that.
Ashland Posted November 11, 2009 #8 Share Posted November 11, 2009 over the edge....If it's you, DH and kids....When we sail with our (adult) kids I go to the guest relations desk before final pmt is settled (if I let the kids know this beforehand they might get carried away) and combine the accts into one using only my credit card as payment.. or when you do the set sail pass have everyone under the same credit card therefore really only one acct...then it won't matter which acct. is showing the OBC... no problem doing it this way for us... over the edge Posted November 11, 2009 #10 Share Posted November 11, 2009 We are giving this cruise to our kids for a Christmas present, along with a couple hundred OBC each for spending money. The OBC on their cabin is actually more than that. We would like the remainder transfered to our cabin so the kids don't constantly have to keep track all week of their spending. If this can't be done, we may just have to let them have it all. There can't be anyway for us to charge items to their cabin that I can figure out and we certainly don't want this to get too complicated. We're all on vacation after all! :D
