Ding-me2 Posted January 2, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 2, 2010 :o We are going on Sun Princess 11th January, 9 more sleeps wow can't believe it is finally coming around. I just have a few questions. How much do the softdrink cards and the coffee cards cost and where do we get them? Do they have nice pastries in the patissarie and what sort of prices are they? Do they have daily specials on cocktails or daily/weekly specials to get laundry done? I know these questions get asked alot but prices change and any help would be appreciated. suexxx Posted January 2, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 2, 2010 Hi Ding-me2. Soda card was about $55.00 in Feb2009. I got 1 and you get a drink container as well. Just fill it up as much as you like. Our cruise was for 12nights. There was a table set up near the pursers desk as we got on. !st thing we did even before going to our cabin. Don't remerber any SPECIALS for laundry but you can get it done for a price. Didn't worry about it. Washed a few things and hung them on line in the shower. Cann't help with other questions. You will hgave a great time. Suexxx

How much do the softdrink cards and the coffee cards cost and where do we get them? $55 for a 7 day cruise but usually a set price per day Plus 10% (we are in Australia) Do they have nice pastries in the patissarie and what sort of prices are they? Yes excellent Do they have daily specials on cocktails or daily/weekly specials to get laundry done? Yes and sometimes 2 for the price of on in the Theatre we alsoa had a bag of laundry for $25 but you have to keep an eye on the platter I know these questions get asked alot but prices change and any help would be appreciated. Dont worry about repeatinmg a question they disappear from the first two pages quickly.:) Have a great cruise
Tedirene Posted January 2, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 2, 2010 Ding-me2 The soda card works at about $5 per day but as Sue has said you get the container and can fill it up as often as you like. The coffee card was $24.95 plus gst. It is good for 15 specialist coffees and as many brewed coffee or hot chocolates as you like provided there is a punch left. Can't say about the Sun but when we were on the Star in Oct/Nov there is no charge for pastries. The only charges were drinks, coffee and surcharge for specialist restaurants. If you check the daily Platter it will list what the cocktail of the day is and the cost. There are no specials for laundry days. There is a small line in the shower which you can use, or as Sue says you can pay someone to do it for you - not that cheap. Hope this helps, enjoy your cruise. 6746mg Posted January 2, 2010 #5 Share Posted January 2, 2010 Afternoon Ding-me2. We are just off the Xmas Sun Princess cruise :), so I might be able to help - How much do the softdrink cards and the coffee cards cost and where do we get them? We bought the 'cards' ( they are actually a small sticker that is placed on your cruise card) just outside the horizon buffet- they were available in most places around the ship, you can't miss them. Cost $5.50 per day including the drink holder. The convenience is worth every cent, even more so for the kids. Coffee card - it is a playing card size - was $33 (for 16 coffees I think)and was bought from the Horizon buffet - any attendant can get one for you. Once again very convenient and very yummy. Do they have nice pastries in the patissarie and what sort of prices are they? Patissarie - can't help you there. However a selection of nice pastries are available in the Horizon Court buffet at no extra cost:D Don't forget to visit the soft serve ice creamery next to the pool area. Do they have daily specials on cocktails or daily/weekly specials to get laundry done? Laundry specials - did not notice Cocktail specials - now I can help :D Daily specials $10 ( normally about $14). Very worthwhile to try something new. You can also buy the glasses. There are lots of great and interesting things aboard the ship - have fun finding them and enjoy your trip.

NSWP Posted January 14, 2010 #17 Share Posted January 14, 2010 another thing they dont advertise in the Horizon Court is if you like Tomato Juice with your breakfast ask the chap that cooks the toast...its very nice rkmw I am addicted to Tomato Juice and it is always a hassle getting some for brekkie at the Horizon Court Buffets. Many times I have asked for it, but then it does not appear. Always available on menu in MDR at brekkie. Now there is a new word MDR - Main Dining Room, and how about HC - Horizon Court.
