Heimey Posted March 5, 2010 #128 Share Posted March 5, 2010 i just bought a 1 liter bottle of Canadian Club whiskey for $40 and change. That was taxes and everything. I know Crown Royal and i believe Grey Goose are $55 plus tax. Hope that helps a bit. Heimey
Cruising Mom O'4 Posted March 28, 2010 #129 Share Posted March 28, 2010 Fresh Lemon and lime can be ordered from Room Service So if I requested a 1/2 dozen limes each day... would there be a charge for that? And what about orange juice? I saw it on the room service menu, but I'm unclear on whether that is a complimentary beverage or additional charge... Orange juice is on the Lido deck. That is free also. Bring a insulated mug...great for juice. Rum punch is also a very good mixer Darlene
Sandgnat Posted March 28, 2010 #131 Share Posted March 28, 2010 Never cruised before and leaving on the Glory 28th of this month. Have read the threads on smuggling alcohol so won't try that. Ordering bottles before hand through the bon voyage dept sounds like a good alternative. Prices don't seem much higher that what we would pay here at home. Just to confirm, these are bottles that will be in our cabin when we arrive for consumption on the cruise? Thanks (PS my first post for my first cruise - about alcohol of course!):) Welcome to cruise critic!! You should join one of the group cruises, you sound like you would fit right in!!:D:eek:;):p
BO HANSON Posted March 31, 2010 #132 Share Posted March 31, 2010 It must be a real secret to this department then. I asked and that was my answer. Noting except wine. I couldn't find it on the site for the Bon Voyage?? It is not being shown at all Darlene It's probably to keep the conflict down since they let you bring on wine, 1 per person in a double room, but no hard liquor. I'm sure they've gotten tired of all the complaints. Let's just keep it the shrouded little secret that it is before that goes away too....
