Oh yes you can be, if I can be you can :D

We are also going on a cruise this next week to celebrate our son and his 2 friends graduations.

I dont have a lot of ideas, but I would love to see what answers you get.

The one thing we are thinking about is a congratulations cake presented to them. Even though there are 20 of us going, I think just one cake for the boys, since we have so much free dessert.

Good Luck and Congratulations to you and your daughter.

we are going on a 7 day cruise for our daughters graduation....any ideas on decorating..or surprises?...I can't be old enough to be going thru this....

Congrats on your daughters graduation! Maybe you can sneak into her room before she gets there so you can decorate. Also, I saw online that Carnival Bon Voyage dept. sells Congratulations Stateroom Decorations. You could also order a cake for her. Have a great cruise.

Decorating ideas are good... but be sure to get some family and individual picurtes on the Formal (oops Elegant) nites. Those are some of the best famiily pictures I have of late.

Maybe buy her a Spa Treatment package or celebrate one night in the Supper Club?

My girls are both in college now and dang it they just grow up so fast!

Whatever you do I'm sure you'll ave a wonderful time...

We have taken our 2 dd on cruises too for graduation. We just got back 2 weeks ago from our last daughters. I decorate the door with graduation stuff. I get stuff from the dollar store. In 2008 I used mylar balloons and just didn't blow them up. They loved having their door decorated and we got many different comments on it. Have fun with it!

So while I'm totally not old enough to be celebrating my daughters graduation (she's only 5), we do celebrate her birthday, and hannukah on ships and decorate... Party City has TONS of great stuff for much more reasonable prices than anything at carnivals bon voyage dept. my parents took her walking around while i snuck into the room and decorates... blew up baloons, hung streamers all over the place, door decorations, cinderella and sponge bob hangy things from the ceiling, and so forth... i ended up spending maybe 20 or so and used two or three rolls of double sided tape (normal tape is easier to remove, as i just used that when we hung stuff for hanukah in december... on the pride, we were super nice to a room steward who let me go in early after i explained why, and he even escorted me to the cabin and offered to help). we also got one of the cakes you can order, it was pretty good... didnt really care for the strawberry filling though. all in all, it felt like a lot of running around to get organized, but the look on her face and her absolute excitment was totally worth it.

Are you leaving out of Charleston? Carnival has plenty of stuff - just costs... LOL

Is this college or HS?

The DW took a lot of stuff with us to decorate the cabin and the door. She surprised our daughter by telling her she needed her sign and sail card to have it authorized. Then she went to the cabin ahead of everyone and decorated. It was my job to keep the DD entertained while the wife was gone. We took "Fun Tack" (blue reusable adhesive) to hang things on the door and paper clips came in handy to hang the dangling decorations from the ceiling.

They usually do a morning show on the ship on the TV and I think the big screen as well. Put in a request for them to congratulate her on her graduation one morning on the morning show.

Oh, I know how you feel. My DD is graduating this month from COLLEGE. Hard to believe I'm that old. LOL

We are cruising in June for our dd graduation too. It will be her Birthday too. She'll be turning 18! :) I kinda want to decorate the room myself for both things. But trying to find a reason to get away from her once on the ship will be hard.....she'll want to come with me or wonder why I have to go somewhere else on the ship by myself. :p We are platinum cruiser this time so will be one early. She is more excited for the cruise then being out of high school. Is it June yet :D...
