Or if you have any ocean-view cabin pics on this ship, I'd love to see them so please share! or any useful info too. Thx! :)

Bon Voyage!!!:D:D:D

Do you mean the crew-only passageways? They are off-limits to passengers.

Pictures? Try a Google search.

Can't help with any secret doors, but enjoy the Pearl. It's a great ship!

Secret doors?

This must be a real big secret cause I have never heard of anything like this.

As to cabin pictures, I am pretty sure there are some cabin pics on the NCL site.

Sometimes one just can't know everything.:p

You are probably referring to the crew only passage ways. They do, however, bring suite passengers through these passage ways at times. When we were in St. Maarten and being tendered to shore, our concierge brought us through a few "hallways" and down and elevator and we ended up at the very front of the extremely long tender line and we were escorted on to the tender. That was our first experience with "secret doors"

Secret door (don't tell anyone)...

- Go to the Pearl Library

- Find the book "StarGazer"

- Pull on book (it will not come out completely)

- Locate portal that opens to your left

- Walk through portal

You will find yourself transported to the Star's former Spinnaker lounge. The only problem is the portal is one way -- no way back to the Pearl. That is why they redesigned the Star. Too many Pearl passengers were getting stuck there. Enjoy it now before you start getting dropped into someone's suite.

You must have cruised on Princess. There are "secret" doors on some ships. On the Coral there is a "secret" door leading to a forward balcony just one deck below the bridge. It is a "secret" because although it goes across the bow, there isn't room for everyone. On Alaskan cruises there are wind barriers on the pool deck, so if you want a view with nothing between you and nature, and don't have your own balcony, there aren't that many places. We had a balcony, but on Glacier Bay day it was great to be on this forward balcony. We had heard about it on CC. On boarding we asked an officer about it and we were told that it was ok to go there- even though the doors said employees only. We spent a lot of time there on 2 different days. They sent the photographer and we got a great picture with a glacier right behind us. At any one time there were 50 or so. We could look up and see the bridge- the Captain waved at us. So, yes, some ships have "secrets".;)

LOL! Great info LaurieCM! Thanks! :D Apparently NCL doesn't but Carnival does & it was wonderful! I was the only one out there for the majority of the time. It was steps from our (oversized) cabin so it was so convenient & **"secretive"** lol!;)

...now, back to packing! :D
