What makes you calm during stormy travel?

1. Go to my cabin

2. Listen to the song "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley; or any reggae music.

3. Eat something sweet.

Drink kahlua on the rocks, go to my stateroom and go to sleep. carol

Prayer

Holy Water

Lorazepam

TV on

Talk to myself...

Tell myself this happens all the time and that these ships are suppose to be able to weather hurricanes.

Tell myself those horrific You Tube Videos I have seen all these yrs on CC were all fake.

Tell myself if something happens at least my married DDs would have all things I don't use to save for a special occasion and have our insurance money to enjoy.

Try to go to sleep...hard to do when you are talking to yourself.

I went to the library, on Independence of the Seas. Its pretty much mid point and the least moving. I then watched all the folks walking (or trying to) down the Prominade..lol People watching is my favorite thing..

One funny thing happened the first night, it was pretty bouncy and it didn't bother me, but must have some people. the second day we were checking out the photo's and there was one photo of a smileing lady that was positively green! I often wish I had that photo..lol I've never seen anyone so green in my life.. kind of clammy and really horrid. And she was still smiling...lol

We were on our way back to San Juan from Aruba one spring day when the seas were rough and the winds were gusting across decks at about 40 knots. My wife got queasy and I went down to one of the bars where a bartender told me the best thing to do is eat a little something, as strange as that sounds, to help settle your stomach.

If all else fails.....a beer!
