Wow Janice, thank you for all the great info. I will definitely ck out flights out of BC &/or Seattle. We are both retired (yahoo, brand new for me :D) so we're flexible on dates. NCL's EPIC seemed to have best pricing on a TA and the ship sounded really nice. Only a couple of yrs old so not too worn yet!

 

I came up with a bright idea yesterday. ;) Since one way airfare cost the same as round trip, we could buy round trip tickets and book two TA's.... in October fly to Barcelona, cruise back ... in April cruise to Barcelona and fly back! How amazing would that be! We love being spoiled aboard cruise ships and since TA's are so inexpensive, why not! I want to get the biggest bang for our buck and this may be the way to do it. :cool: Still looking at all the options. Let me know what Emmy says. Hope to chat with you again and maybe we'll cruise together sometime too! Thanks

Annette, lucky you to be retired so YOUNG! I am envious...it would be wonderful to cruise with you and Yvonne sometime in the near future. I am still trying to meet up with your sister since we both live in San Jose.

Cruising really is wonderful isn't it? YOU can eat 24/7 if you want, work out at all hours, dance, veg, hit the casino, the pool, etc. So many options and not enough time to do everything.

We have Australian friends who did the Epic last year and hope to get in touch with them tonight.

I'm thinking about doing two TA's next year too. I may do Princess one way (because of the ports) and RCCL or NCL Epic the other way (because of the ship/price).

I wish I had the vacation time since I only get 2 weeks a year; major bummer.

Have fun planning the trips; I always enjoy this part of travel.

Carl, I watched the last 3 1/2 minutes on the DVR and a lot of the celebration but we got blacked out here. So the KINGS won the CUP...now it's our SHARKS turn.

Carl, we actually started celebrating today...picked up my oldest stepson in Elk Grove and had a late lunch/early dinner at BJ's in Roseville with family friends (like god parents to the boys). Tomorrow DH's sister & BIL are having a celebration at their home in Los Altos.

...are you watching The Open on tv? We saw part of it in Elk Grove and and it looked as though the weather was beautiful! I've loved the SHARKS for a long time too!

Hey Carol & Janice, thanks for the invite even though I'm no longer a Californian. :) I have some exciting cruise news!

Tom & I put our names on the waiting list for the Royal Princess next year. I feel fairly confident we will get a cabin cuz it isn't until Oct 2013. It combines the Med & TA. 18 glorious days!!! :D:p The Royal Princess launches next June and this will be the maiden voyage crossing the Atlantic. Keep your fingers crossed for us. We REALLY REALLY REALLY want this one. It will be our first trip "across the pond." Have you ever been? :confused:

 

PS... you can see, I already added the little ship at the bottom. I'm thinking positive!!!
