Kiwi Kruzer Posted November 19, 2010 #176 Share Posted November 19, 2010 Heres one coming up that may be worth putting on your watch list. Sun Princess around the Indian Ocean. We are starting to get News Flash reports of price reductions from on line TA's, but I think the prices will drop on this one a lot more yet. Thats only my opinion, based on sailing from Fremantle and the length of the cruise. For anyone wanting a long cruise, and who can get cheap return air to Perth , it could be a goer... (it even goes to Goa:D) The other thing to watch out for will be segments opening up. Not sure how they will do that, as one way air to some of the ports will not be cheap. floatie Posted November 19, 2010 #177 Share Posted November 19, 2010 The best thing is always to shop around. So I say research is the key when looking to book your next cruise. Jillybean:) It's called "reward for effort". Some people just buy straight from the catalogue  completely unaware that bargains exist. The savings can be amazing sometimes. Some people just buy straight from the catalogue  completely unaware that bargains exist. The savings can be amazing sometimes. You have got it.:) Cruises sell from the top down... and from the bottom up.... That leaves a huge gap in the middle ..... Always remember with QE2 ... No trouble selling the top suites.. No trouble selling the cheapest cabins... but they were always struggling to sell the mid range.

It would have come about due to NZers doing the WC, or part thereof , and getting off in Auckland. Looks a good deal. You could pay that much or more for a normal airfare.

I take it you are hoping they sail with empty cabins, and will open up a sector for New Zealand to Australia.:):) Seems odd that they can't sell all the sectors on this cruise. It happens on all the World Cruises. They naturally want to sell the longer segments, and only open the smaller ones if they have vacancies. There have been several small segments from Sydney to Brisbane on P&O, but that is because they have passengers leaving in Sydney and others joining the longer voyage in Brisbane. In the case of Queen Elizabeth , I guess everyone wants to stay on to be part of the Grand Sail in on Sydney Harbour, being the Maiden call , and also to meet up with Queen Mary 2 .
