Beautiful photo.

Because I feel bad (a little) for changing my cruise and won't be on her next week, I thought I'd better come back an post something...

Do we have a name for the current CD? Has Risa already left?

Bob, you will say Hello to Zelia for me if she's there, won't you? And if she isn't, see if the current casino host will tell you where she's working (assuming she came back to Carnival (or any cruiseline, really)).

Thanks NCTribeFan

Yes, Risa is gone. :(

The new CD is Jocelyn "Shorty" Blandford.

She was okay I suppose, I never saw her on Lido deck.

It may have been just the Fantasy, but you can never understand anything anyone ever says over the PA system. Hope they never have to make an emergency announcement. :-\

The only announcements I actually want to hear are the Captain's reports and I usually can't hear (or understand) most of what is being said (and that's on every ship).

I don't much care who the CD is when I cruise. I normally just notice the irritating ones, but I liked Risa. She didn't spend all her time trying to be Head Comic, which seems to be the direction Carnival is heading.

Just as long as it isn't Jen Baxter! I'll never set foot again on ship if she's the CD. :(

We had Shorty on our January cruise. I thought she was great, but I really didn't care for Risa on our 2010 or this past October cruise.

Risa was personally nice to us and we got to know her. She is the only CD that I would recognize or even know about. Generally they are just some voice and I really could care less. I hope Shorty does fill her shoes with good vibes and continues to make the crew and cruisers happy.

Regardless I will be having fun in 3 days! :D

I'm taking my 4th cruise October 21st, and it's on the Fantasy. In the past, I've sailed RC Adventurer of the Seas, Carnival Destiny, and Carnival Breeze. I've always had a midship balcony room and I've always been on a fairly new and fairly large ship.

This time, I'm traveling with a group. To be near my friends, I booked cabin E16 which is quite far forward. I didn't have any problems with motion sickness on my past cruises but I am really worried about motion sickness on an older, smaller ship, especially in a cabin that is so far forward, and has no balcony to get outside for fresh air. I used to live in Vermont, with no nearby cruise ports, but I now live within driving distance to Charleston, Jacksonville and Baltimore so I'm hoping to take more cruises in the future. I want to do everything I can to make sure this cruise is as fantastic as the last 3 were. I wonder if I should move my room.

Am I worrying for nothing? I would love to hear from anyone who has stayed in a cabin in this area who could tell me what to expect in terms of motion or noise.

Thank you.

i say you are worried for nothing. I've not noticed anymore motion on the fantasy than i did on the dream (sister to breeze) or pride. But just in case it wouldn't hurt to pack some Bonnie's and sea bands.

Greetings, Fantasy gurus. Glad to hear that the wait staff is awesome. May I ask - have you had good experience with room service? We're sailing on Fantasy for the first time next month (yippee!!!). We love room service breakfast on shore excursion days to get us up and out. It's a great wake up call, as long as it comes on time. Are Fantasy room service staff good about getting breakfast to you when you schedule it? Thanks for any info.

Always been good for me. Wait has never been over 10 mins. And that was only once. Usually right on time and the only time I order breakfast is on debark day

It was always on schedule for us back in May.. Now, make sure when you get your tray that you look for silverware before signing your slip or letting them go. I can't remember the exact amount of times that we ordered both breakfast and room service during the day and they always were forgetting the silverware. So, just keep a watch, especially if you need a spoon, knife or fork to eat with!

Another question. In my email this morning is an offer - "Upgrade to One of Two Exclusive Penthouse Owners Suites on your July Fantasy Cruise!"

I'm pretty sure this is an upsell not an upgrade (you guys taught me that)since the word free is nowhere to be found. But looking at the Fantasy deck plans, I don't even see an owners suite on the Fantasy anyway. Am I missing it? Has anyone else ever experienced this? Is this just a mistake? I called and emailed the PVP, but no response so far. Thanks for any info or guidance.

These are on the Verandah deck overlooking the Lido. If you look at the Fascination deck plans, it is where Camp Carnival is on the Fascination.

I have not been blessed to stay in these suites, but got to visit one in 2011, and it is a beautiful room. I hope you can make a deal!

Cruise Envy, do you happen to remember did the balcony looks out over the ocean at all, or is strictly over the Lido deck? In the email it's described as an obstructed view, Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge.

They are ocean view. And point away from lido google carnival fantasy owners suite to see pics if I could afford or was offered one I'd take it in the heartbeat

Negatory! These two suites are on deck 12. They are beautiful and have private balconies that are extremely private, in other words you can't see them from the "cheap seats".

You have a dining room, walk in closet and a doorbell! They are S-1 and S-2 and I am sure pictures exist {if not I will share from some friends in 01.2014}!
