However who was responsible? Carnival for not placing measures in place. So that ding against Carnival is their fault and they should take the brunt for it.

However if they say well gee he was only sold 2 drinks I dont know how he got alcohol poisoning etc... It still goes bad for Carnival but it wasn't their fault.

In both scenarios Carnival loses overall.

You make no sense......ding for what?

And since you have never cruised.......you have no idea... but......they will serve you all night long.....even if you fall off your bar stool:D

And you keep referring that smugglers are drunks......alcohol poisoning now? Do you even read what you post? Another accusation.......

Did someone hit you on the head with a rumrunner?

You should worry about yourself....and not what others are doing...On the cruises that I have been on..I am sure alcohol was smuggled, actually I know it was bc I brought some on..... my family and I have been safe. This really will not affect you on your cruise...

Are you going to turn people in from your roll call for smuggling?

Then why have the rule?

Are you going to give me the names? ;)

Wait.. then why are you worried about what Im worried about???

Im happy for you and your family. However can you guarantee that for all families?

I hope it doesn't effect me or my experience with the cruise. I will try to keep my chin up.

Regardless this is a conversation (as stated) and im just conversing. While my views are different and or against the majority it doesn't make them wrong.

Ahh, gotcha. There's a bank of machines at the Wynn where I do this from time to time. I actually play the 20, but very slowly. The drink service is amazing in there. If anyone is interested, it's the Wynn Megamillion machine bank(and the area around it) between Zoso Crackers and the front desk.

LOL! Yes and it is always helps to get in good with the bartenders......as long as they get thier tips they will keep the comps coming......I have been known to get drinks just watching dh play the poker machines;)

Aknot would probably not accept the drink because that would be against the rules LOL!

Simple......go up to the bar put a 20 in a machine order a drink....cash out and leave;) Just don't make it so obvious........

I would rather just buy a drink and avoid the 'degenerate gambler' struggle to not play a machine already fed and ready to go!!!!:D:eek::D

Or enjoy my comped drink and play the machine. Don't you know if you cash out without playing that the NEXT spin is going to pay MILLIONS?? MILLIONS, I TELL YOU, MILLIONS!!! whew,,,,,whew,,,,whew, I'm tired.

Point being for me at least, we drink when we vacation, if I didn't spend a dime for my first two days of drinking, I am going to spend the $6 to drink for 8 drinks a day for the rest of the cruise.. I gamble regardless if I am drinking or not so the cruise will make money off of me in the casinos..

All I look for is my buzz, I am not trying to get stupid drunk..That being said, and again this is for me, once I have that nice buzz going I am cool.. I want to remember my cruise.. ;)

"All I look for is my buzz.....Once I have that nice buzz going I am cool".... ha ha... I like that, Could make a song from those lyrics :D

Ding for any thing that happens.

Nope didnt know that little aspect.

No I dont refer them to drunks. Again you pick and choose what you like to and try to bend it. I was aksed how and I provided reasons as to how. I didnt say I saw "X" do that or hey She does that all the time.

I was giving an example. I notice you didnt comment on my light banter.

Not my job to guarantee.....but you have no facts to base your information on

It probably will

Why you so hung up on "rules"? Rules say don't pee in the pool or pull the tag off the mattress. It's about Risk and Rewards....

If it is then no I wouldnt. Sorry. the rule is there for a reason. Is it possible the person that gave the drink could lose their job? I wouldnt want that on my shoulders.

I must apologies if I seems a prude. I however try to take into consideration all that goes on around me and how it may affect others. Especially when I know they are trying to have an enjoyable time or are just doing their jobs.

I think it is a great debate, that is what these boards are for. ;)To get information regarding cruising, sometimes people agree and sometimes people do not. We each live our lives differently, that is what makes us all unique.. I just choose not to judge when people make decisions regarding smuggling..

You were the majority last night.. I got hammered on this board by a ton of people who have your same views regarding this topic. :mad:All is good.. We can agree to disagree..

;)

But I have to say, you seem very paranoid over the topic. Like a knife slashing booze smuggler  is going to come running after you on the ship, slip and fall on the Lido deck injuring others all while he knocks into a bunch of waiters serving purchased drinks as they spill them all over the cruiseres who purchased them, thus taking revenue away from Carnival...

No the person will be getting an extra tip;)

You don't have to be a prude to be considerate........

Why you so hung up on "rules"? Rules say don't pee in the pool or pull the tag off the mattress. It's about Risk and Rewards....

Actually if you own the mattress you can. As for peeing in the pool the health risks are USUALLY covered by the chemicals incorporated however I still dont.

Why are you not hung up on rules? Why do you chose to follow some but not all?

Quite nice. Would you like a life up?

Just becasue I take into consideration others does not make me better then those that do not.

Where do you get off making that assumption?

Like most logical people, I follow rules that make logical sense. Don't kid yourself in thinking that you follow all rules or would follow all rules. All of us are guilty of something.

LOL! Well this has been a subject on cc for years now........nothing new...

No kidding. But now Carnival is doing something about it and people are getting their tidy whities in a knot because of it. And the ones who were bragging are the ones complaining the loudest about it.

So you are saying this rule makes no sense? (I have never kidded myself, dont assume I have)

Then instead of breaking it why not challenge it? Why not have it changed?
