YAY!! Im almost 99% sure they would have found the dog.

Yeah, They probably would've, However there was a dog on board the ship. It was a service dog of some kind, and even though we were used to a dog running around, it was still a little strange to see a dog on the boat.

So, We made it onto this awesome ship and walked up to the Promenade deck. We looked around and the family looked at me. By this point it was 1:30 or so and we were a little hungry for some of that Lido deck grub. I knew we had to go up to deck 9 but was not sure which way to go about that. This is when studying the deckplans on Carnivals website for 2 weeks before comes in handy. I led the family right into the casino and then out the other side to the Atrium.

Mom, Dad, and Sis took care of there Sail and sign account at the pursers desk while I started snapping shots like a chinese tourist at Niagara Falls.

We then took one of the glass elevators to the Lido Deck for some food.

Looking down!

Wow! This is great! Good descriptions and great photos. Me and DW and our Daughter, Husband the our 3 G-girls (3, 8 and 10 yrs old) are going on the Pride in 3 weeks! Now I'm starting to get crazy! Keep up the good work. DW and I are from Lancaster PA so it's only a 2 hour drive to the terminal. The rest of our party lives in Perry Hall MD, so it's only about 1/2 hour for them to get to the ship.

Alright, so we got to the Lido deck for some of that food. People were walking in everywhere and getting food. There were 6 bars inside to get food. Pizza bar, Fruit bar, Daily Special bar (Taste of the Nations), Asian bar, Rottisere, Deli. Outside toward the the front of the ship there was burgers, chicken tenders, fries in 2 buffet bars. We grabbed some Itialian food from the Daily special buffet.

And your first taste of FOOD PORN!

And, then the first of many cocktails of the vacation arrived!!!!!

After chowing down on some awesome food, we made our way up to deck 10 to check out the boat some more.

Now, this is just a little disclaimer for the rest of the photos, I have a fetish. It isn't like a usual fetish either. I have a Fan Tail Funnel Fetish! It may get to the point where I just start posting pictures of the Funnel. I will try my hardest to refrain but sometimes they just slip in the middle of whatever I'm talkin about. So my appologies! LOL

We sat in our zone and waited paitiently. We made it through the terminal in about 15 minutes and now it was only 11:35. I asked the gentleman when they would be loading and he stated between 12:30 and 1:30. Ouch, but we would be one of the first with Zone 4.

It was during this time that we were sitting there waiting we determined that if they would sell the DOD's in the terminal, Carnival would make alot of money! I know that's the first think I wanted as soon as I got on board, why not start the vacation in the terminal! LOL:D

The Fruit Bar also included salad fixings and some sliced meat and cheeses. The desserts were in between the different stations and they had two ice cream machines and frozen yogurt machines on the aft lido deck. Also inside with the different stations they had a small coffee counter where you could order speciality coffees, expresso's etc. This was a extra charge. And of course there was two drink stations inside and one outside on the lido deck. It seemed that for breakfast they would have ice tea, lemonade, OJ, and a mango juice, then the rest of the day it was just ice tea and lemonade. And they always had coffee regular and decaf as well as hot chocolate. I also noticed that they had a nice selection of tea bags for making hot tea.

Pics are great. The pic of the parking lot about what time was that? How full did it get?

Also what time was the cruise slated to sail? I know you said what time you boarded and such but just curious as the time difference.

Also did it ever seem "crowded" and if so where?

:D

Thanks again!

Adam,

I am eagerly awaiting more of your review. We are sailling 8/22/10/

I lived in Greensburg for 8 years! I know exactly where it is. I went to Maxwell Elementary School, I don't know if it is still there. I visited a couple of years ago. I have fond childhood memories there. I moved to DC in 1979 so it has been quite a while.

Thanks for the specific info on the parking lot. We're cruising in July and I am bound and determined to make use of our VIP boarding status so that we can book the Chef's Table the second that we board. We'll be leaving our house at 10:00 so that we can hit the parking lot before 11:00. :D

Im thinking he was just pulling your legs...... Maybe he works at the Lipton bottling plant and had it done there.

Cant we just have a nice review without worrying about how someone (if they even did) smuggled something on board?

And if he did and it was a "trick" Im sure it will now be looked over and then people that honestly bring Iced Tea (or other stuff) on will have that taken away from them and or overly scrutinized.....

/sigh
