happycruiser1942 Posted June 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 8, 2010 When we are in Nassau we were hoping to be able to take the water taxi over to Atlantis and walk around. Do they allow you to do that and is there a charge?

Do they allow you to do that and is there a charge? You are allowed in the casino, the lobbies and the shoppes. You can also enjoy the Marina Village, which is outside the main property. You used to be able to view a section of the aquarium, but I'm told they now have security at the TOP of the stairs preventing non-guests from going down to the Great Hall of Water and the DIGS without a pass or bracelet. You cannot get outside near the pools, beaches, slides or lagoons. Security guards are stationed at every exit and around the grounds.

Rare CruisinCrow Posted June 11, 2010 #6 Share Posted June 11, 2010 How far is the walk from the water taxi to the Atlantis? You walk across the street then down about a block to Marina Village, then through Marina Village to the hotel. It's about a 5 minute walk. Some cruise lines hold back a certain number of tickets for people to purchase once on the ship. You could also buy them directly from Atlantis once you get there. There's a ticket kiosk in the casino.
sunsetme Posted June 11, 2010 #8 Share Posted June 11, 2010 try looking into a room at the comfort suites. it allows you admission to atlantis for the day. may be most cost effective for a family.
Gma&Gpa Posted June 19, 2010 #9 Share Posted June 19, 2010 If we take a taxi or water taxi over to Atlantis, I know we can get into the casino, shops and village. Can we buy tickets over there JUST for the aquarium? and if so, any idea of the cost?

The aquarium pass is $35 pp. and is available in the center kiosk at the Casino or the check in desk at Coral towers or Royal towers.
Rare CruisinCrow Posted June 22, 2010 #11 Share Posted June 22, 2010 If you go to Atlantis in the evening, you can see the grounds and aquarium for free. The pools are closed of course, but it's nice to see more of the resort. It's very pretty.
herb Posted June 23, 2010 #12 Share Posted June 23, 2010 Take a taxi NOT the water taxi (takes forever, they won't leave till it's packed like sardines). A regular car taxi and you'll be there in no time at all. I did not heed this warning when I read it on CC a few years ago, and was very sorry... :(
