My last film shoot was 2006. It was memorable because it was a model's portfolio and location shoot...at the time digital still wasn't quite up to spec for the job. I still have some rolls around the house - some developed negatives and some unused rolls in the freezer.

Remember when we had to carry cameras and bags of lenses back before we could just record and download from our Zeiss ocular implants?

He carried both for years.

We are the lucky ones - we only lost power for a couple of hours. The ice is beautiful, but trees and limbs have been falling on power wires. There are many homes that will not have power until after Christmas.

It is beautiful, but it is also dangerous. Keep an eye out for downed power lines and anything they come in contact with. They can be killers.

Glittery trees and the ice build up on my poor Japanese Maple Tree.

This is day 5 with the weight of all the ice and no melting yet. The coming spring is going to be very busy cleaning up broken trees for some.
