Mariner of the Seas question

Recommended Posts

This will be our first RCCL cruise. We've only been on Princess so far. One of our rituals we do after boarding is go up to the pool are for a slice of pizza. Does the Mariner have the pizza & burger are on deck near the pool?

thanks,

Donna

Mariner does have pizza and burgers in the windjammer, just aft of the pool area. No grills, etc outside by the pool.

Also, as an FYI, for some reason when the Mariner is docked in San Pedro no food at all is allowed outside. They say it is due to the fruit fly problem in the area. Once you are out of the harbor, food can be brought outside for the rest of the trip.

Princess has better pizza than RCL and it is easier to get when in the pool area. Also they close the buffet between meals with no one admitted while they setup for the next meal. They actually close the door and lock it. Princess does a much better job at pool side food.

Sorry, no. Didn't see any food around the pool area. Once we got on board the ship we went directly to the Windjammer cafe for lunch. Pizza, burgers, salads, entrees, etc. Yes, I don't think you can remove food on the first day; however, you are more than welcome to bring food out around the pool during the cruise. The only problem is there only a very few tables around the pool so you have to eat at your deck or lounge chair. I didn't see many people eating around the pool area during the cruise.

Not in Mariner's Solarium. The best place to get pizza is at the Promenade Cafe on deck 5. It is open 23 hours daily with breakfast pastries and fruit in the mornings and sandwiches, pizza, cookies, and many desserts the rest of the day/night. There is also complimentary coffee, tea and hot chocolate available there.
