crusinpsychRN Posted March 29, 2013 #128 Share Posted March 29, 2013 On embarkation I got into an Atrium elevator which was pretty full. A guy got on who was obese and an older man said to him "You're putting us over the weight limit, you have to get off, we won't go anywhere." I thought he was teasing a friend. Turned out he was a strange who told him to mind his own business.
gusandgidgetsmom Posted March 29, 2013 #129 Share Posted March 29, 2013 That reminds me of a time we went to a casino for a buffet dinner. It was one that had lots of seafood on it. My husband who is ,grantedly, overweight went ahead of me as I was finishing up a business call. I then got in the line where the man in front of me turned to me and said wow that big guy is probably going to eat everything and I will not get my share. The woman behind me said , Wow that was rude as he just shrugged his shoulders. I looked at him and said pointing to my husband, You mean him? That is my husband and he is extremely polite and I am sure he will not take your share. When we got up to the buffet the man in front of me took all the crab legs in the bin and all the shrimp. The woman behind me said what a shmuck! I had to agree. I wonder where he learned his manners. I am sure at the school of entitlement! On embarkation I got into an Atrium elevator which was pretty full. DebbyDee Posted March 29, 2013 #130 Share Posted March 29, 2013 The days of mutual respect are long gone in a society that only teaches me, me, me. ... aint that the truth! It's very sad - how little basic respect we have for one another. (sigh)
