excitedofharpenden Posted February 12, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 12, 2005 The P & O Cruises website has a great time lapse animation of Oriana's recent 8 hour transit of the Panama Canal condensed into a few minutes. It may take a while to load with dial-up, but it's worth a look. The link is at the top of this page: http://www.pocruises.com/ Phil
lougee1043 Posted February 12, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 12, 2005 here is an animation that will help in understanding how the canal works http://www.pancanal.com/eng/general/howitworks/index.html

LoneStarJeffe Posted February 13, 2005 #4 Share Posted February 13, 2005 excitedofharpenden. We are leaving this coming Monday on the Galaxy for the Canal and this just helped get me more excited about the trip. I didn't think that was possible. Thank you very much for the link. I know you took the same trip earlier and I just wanted to also say thanks for your review. I really enjoyed it. Added bonus - I don't have to worry about what to get my DW for Valentine's day when it is also departure day for the first cruise we have taken in over a decade! :)

Druke I Posted February 13, 2005 #9 Share Posted February 13, 2005 Oriana is a beauty. She is due into Sydney Valentine's Day. I hope to take her through the Suez, in either 06 or 07.
