Tour Guide recommendation for families

We will be taking a cruise on the MSC Splendida on December 16, we received great recommendations for our trip to Turkey earlier this year on Cruise Critic. Does anyone have recommendations for Tour Guides for the following ports? We will be doing day trips in each and hope to do private tours with a guide that can accommodate our family with two children 10 & 12 years of age.

We used III Millennia Tours in Rome a few years ago with the kids (they were 12 & 15 at the time) and had a great experience. http://threemillennia.com/

I would highly suggest Romeinlimo for Rome. (many others do too) They are just outstanding. In Athens we had a GREAT tour with Paul's Taxi. Have a great cruise!

For Rome, I highly recommend Miles & Miles and try to contact Francesco. He is great with kids and his english was better than any other driver guide we had in any of the ports. He really personalizes his tours.

On our European cruise with kids 7, 12 and 14 we had good time with Paul of Greek Taxi in Athens, RIL for all our Italy stops. Its private so you can plan the pace/stops and such that will interest both yourself and at pace suitable for your kids.

We agree. Francesco, with Miles & Miles, was a wonderful guide and really good with kids. Our kids are 13 and 10. Our tour in Rome was a highlight of our trip. If you use Francesco, tell him that our 10 year old, who he named Natalino, says hello.

 

For Malta, we used Chris Sheridan's company (Malta Travel Net). They did a very good job as well.
