Need more cash EPIC

If we need more cash on board what are our options. Is there am ATM or can we get cash at front desk and have it added to our account. Most of our tours require cash and I am not sure if I want to carry that much with me.

Unless the Epic is different from all the other ships in NCL's fleet, you can just go to the casino's cashier and sign for money/chips with no fee and the charge goes on your shipboard account like any other expense. The ATM charges a significant fee.

I was on the Epic and Johnql is correct. You can get up to $2000 a day on your card with no fee. It is just like making a purchase in the gift shop. You do this in the casino.

I did see ATM's on board as well.

There should be atm's in the casino as all the other ships have them. But they often don't work when out at sea due to satellite.

You can get cash reception but i have run into them only giving me $100 because they were running low on cash.

The Epic has 2 ATMs for withdrawing cash. They work great, except there is a $5.50 processing fee :eek:

We often take $2k with us, and just keep the extra in the room safe.

That's a bit much for us. We typically take about $500 in addition to the known cash expenses, like the $65 per person (cash only) plans we had on Roatan.

Thanks for the casino idea I never would have thought of that one because I don't gamble. We will bring a good amount I just wanted to know my options.

Traveler's checks, my dear friend, are great too. We take the majority of our moooola that way, then just a handful of cash for traveling to the ship. You can cash the checks at the purser whenever you need more cash. Then credit card for emergencies! 27 days! Woot Woot!
