If I wasn't so busy and could make it down to FL to attend this event... I would love to go to this, provide some input, sit next to the executives of my choice, AND listen to all the expected/anticipated changes in the cruise industry within the next few years...

FCCA Gala Offers the Chance to Mingle With the Top Decision-Makers in the Cruise Industry

Pembroke Pines, FL (March 3, 2011) - Fifty cruise executives will serve as hosts for an unforgettable evening that features the unique opportunity to interact with some of the cruise industry's top decision-makers.

The 17th Annual FCCA Gala Dinner and Entertainment Extravaganza will be held Thursday, March 17, 2011 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. It will include a 90-minute cocktail reception with the CEO's, presidents and cruise executives and a silent art auction with 100 pieces of magnificent artwork from Park West Galleries before the dinner commences.

For the dinner, guests can purchase tickets to sit at tables hosted by the cruise line executive of their choice, each representing the member lines of the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association. Tables with the CEO's and Presidents of Cruise Lines Companies will be sponsored tables and allow personal attention from the prominent table host. Sponsors will be recognized in event publications and with a plaque presentation during the dinner.

We are pleased that both the Port of Miami and Port Everglades have joined as title co-sponsors this year, ensuring the most successful event to date. They have partnered with us to put together this event because they believe in its cause and the opportunities it presents. "The Port of Miami is proud to again be a sponsor of this premier event for the cruise industry," said Bill Johnson, director of the Port of Miami. "We value our partnership with the hundreds of participating cruise industry companies and business. This event is an opportunity to strengthen ties with industry leaders. We look forward to another successful event this year." "The FCCA Gala is one of the most important business-to-business marketing opportunities available for companies involved in the cruise industry because all the major lines, suppliers and cruise ports attend this annual event with the intent of building mutually beneficial relationships," said Port Everglades Director Phil Allen. "Port Everglades is a terrific example of how the FCCA's efforts have increased recognition of our port as a primary launching site for Caribbean cruises. As a title sponsor, Port Everglades enjoys positive exposure to the industry leaders that matter most."

The Gala will benefit the FCCA Foundation, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the non-profit, charitable organization. Created in 1993, the Foundation funds humanitarian causes in the Caribbean and Latin America. Numerous worthy projects receive funding each year throughout the FCCA Foundation. Most recently, the FCCA Holiday Gift Project brought smiles to the faces of nearly 7,000 underprivileged children throughout the Caribbean and Latin America.

Save your money and time (other than its for a very good charity) as all the CEO's need to do is to monitor Cruise Critic if they really want to know what everyone thinks. As for all the buzz - the buzz is how they can make more money - just like any other business.
