Food was expensive and if you go with children, in my case I have 2 who BTW would get hungry every 2 hours, it could put a dent on your wallet:eek:.[/SIZE][/FONT]

[FONT=Comic Sans MS][SIZE=3]2nd visit to Nassau in 2008, we stayed at Riu AI, next door, had the same beach, food included:D, and almost every night wondered next door to Atlantis to make use of their property at no extra charge. Now, if you wanted to use the slides at Atlantis you had to buy a day pass for $15-25pp (can't remember exact amt), much much less than $149 pp.[/SIZE][/FONT]

I come from a family of 5 girls and I was my dads favorite. My mom has been horrible to me my entire life. My dad passed away when I was 20 so I lost what felt like my only parent. My mom has taken all my sisters to Hawaii and on cruises and does so much with them-nothing with me. She goes out of her way to attend all their kids functions and remembers their birthdays. She calls me once every 2 months or so and we chat about weather and she has never remembered my sons birthdays or spent even a day with them.

I think this made me a better mother- just like I think you are a better mother to your daughter than your mom was to you. I am very close with my sons and I plan to be an AMAZING Grandma someday (unlike my mother). So hopefully our kids will be even better than us- each generation getting better than the one before. I hope :)

Thanks for the purse pics! Can't wait to shop next week with my Mom! We are celebrating her 65th birthday next week. My Mom and I have done lots of trips together like hopefully you and your daughter will do. Next week, she is sharing a cabin with my DD and I will be in one with my DH. My mom is my bestfriend!!! She knows EVERYTHING about me the good and the bad.

Reading your review I have teared up on several occasions because my mom and I were planning a Mother/Daughter cruise when she went into surgery that has now left her bed ridden due to complications that she developed. She was in the hospital for 1 1/2 and during that time we had almost lost her on several occasions. She is now home and is slowly improving..(slow and steady wins the race.) I am praying that she will continue to heal and that we will be able to do the mother/daughter cruise. We have have talked about it since and she said that when we do we are going all out!

I am proud to say that I am a momma's girl. :D

I've enjoyed your review especially the interaction with your daughter. DH and I are taking the same cruise this Sunday. I have three sons and I am also estranged from my mother. I am very close with my boys but I feel outnumbered at times. This is my therapy. I hope it helps everyone that has been abandoned by their mother.

I total get where u are coming from. Im a B I G family person and found out I had a sister I never knew. Hello, I wanted to meet her. Finally I found her through FB. Went and met her (flew 2 texas), talk for like 3 or 4 mths after, and I havent heard nor seen her ever again. We had SOO much fun when I was there. I miss her and want her in my life so badly.. In life sometimes we dont get why people do what they do. Or why GOD has certin things to happen or be taking away. But in all its all ways a reason. I love her like I know u love ur Mother, and as bad as it hurts we have to push foward. I want to say I tip my hat off to you for turning this bad problem into something so wonderful and positive. May GOD be with u and everyone else like us *~* I pray for peace of mind.. Keep traveling and doing u and ur fam :~)
