Hi Joyce, regarding the time for high tea, it was considered that this should be served around 5 pm as it is really a substantial working meal to be eaten at the end of the working day on a 'high' table.

 

Afternoon tea as the name suggests is served mid afternoon and also known as 'low tea' as the snacks which make up afternoon tea were served on low tables.

Tremendously. We usually do this at a synagogue and they have high bar tables and we were thinking about 5 instead of our usual 6 pm.

 

I knew you would be able to help. AGAIN! I will never forget how wonderful our seats were for Billy Elliot because of your help figuring out which section to get seats in. If ever I can return the favor, just ask.

 

This cruise will not be the last time we see each other, I am certain. You cruise enough that sooner or later you will be here, like on the Allure. We will make up to meet you before you cruise. You are the best.

OH Joyce I"m sure many of us will cruise together again!!!! I've met cruise friends that we get together every year on a cruise. ITS been wonderful.

 

WE just had friends in from San Diego that we met on a Disney Cruise........they've decided to book Oasis of the Sea's with us for March 2, 2013.............if anyone's interested. WE switched from Feb. to that date so friends could go. WE now have 10 going...........:D With Emmy's help she convienced me to book a B1 balcony.

You are right Sandy. We travel a lot with past friends we met on a cruise. We have become very close to some of our fellow cruisers.

OMG Lar, of course!!!! COME on!!! Ron & Lorna are booking it, John & Cathy (our cousins) and other friends of ours that you haven't met YET!

 

 

Sailing with this bunch ,,, How could it be anything but GREAT..:p

 

We will probably book while we are on this Liberty cruise..:p I have a cabin picked out already..14254,, Might even do as a b2b.. 7 days is just not long enough..

 

Been wanting to try one of the BIG ships..

These pics were taken about 2 miles from my house. We live just off Greenspring Valley Road. These pics were taken the other day. Flooding is still wide-spread in this area. Fortunately, our community is situated on higher ground.

Peter and Karen, Thanks for the great (although very different!!) pictures this morning. Flooding waters are nothing to take lightly.

 

The Liberty is back up on Facebook now. My class reunion was also off yesterday and last night so it must be an internal problem with FB on "Events".

 

Have a good week-end everyone. We are going to a Kansas Jayhawks game tomorrow evening and have a neighborhood picnic on Sunday. Looks like nice weather for both.

Marilyn speaking of Class Reunions, we are having two days before we fly out, on Oct 23rd. Class 60 thru 69. I know, telling my age but then I think you all know that.:)

Karen, glad you're OK as those photos are terrible. Hope everyone is OK.

 

Apparently we in the UK are to experience the remnants of Hurricane Katia on Monday with coastal regions experiencing 50 - 70ft waves and wind speeds up to 80 mph so it could be an interesting.

 

Will definitely taking time to remember those lost 10 years ago on 9/11.

Congress and the Senate will be disbanded. A questionnaire may be

circulated sometime next year to determine whether any of you noticed.

 

To aid in the transition to a British Crown dependency, the following

rules will be introduced with immediate effect:

elimination of '-ize.'

4. You will learn to resolve personal issues without using guns,

lawyers, or therapists. The fact that you need so many lawyers and

nation on earth and it can only be due to the beer. They are also

part of the British Commonwealth - see what it did for them. American

brands will be referred to as Near-Frozen Gnat's Urine, so that all

can be sold without risk of further confusion.

10. Hollywood will be required occasionally to cast English actors as

good guys. Hollywood will also be required to cast English actors to

play English characters. Watching Andie Macdowell attempt English

dialogue in Four Weddings and a Funeral was an experience akin to

11. You will cease playing American football. There are only two

kinds of proper football; one you call soccer, and rugby (dominated by

the New Zealanders). Those of you brave enough will, in time, be

allowed to play rugby (which has some similarities to American

football, but does not involve stopping for a rest every twenty

seconds or wearing full kevlar body armour like a bunch of nancies).

12. Further, you will stop playing baseball. It is not reasonable to

host an event called the World Series for a game which is not played

outside of America. Since only 2.1% of you are aware there is a world

beyond your borders, your error is understandable. You will learn
