Thanks again Everyone :D

Sandy my spare room has had luggage and clothes out on the bed since I arrived home 28th Sept  but felt it was not worth putting it all away, cannot wait to pack

After this cruise I'll just keep the summer stuff in the extra bedroom for our Feb. cruise.

NOT like I'll need summer clothes now in CHICAGO.

Mhairi might give you a wave from the Friarton Bridge on Friday, thinking about visiting my in laws in Forfar do you have any knowledge of the Tayside Symphony Orchestra ?

Joyce I could buy you a drink there 20th Nov :) that would be a tale to tell to your friends, I am sure Beej has been in places like this before

George do not be selfish and keep them all to yourself. You know that would be a good costume because it takes no room!:D

Joyce

Joyce the handcuff's might weigh alot! lol

George, so glad you decided to stay with us. I look forward to drinking with you at the Diamond evening.

Marilyn, so sorry to hear that Geoffrey is suffering post-op and I do hope he makes a swift recovery.

Sherry, you are going to find it a bit cold. We have the heating on now, it is due to be down to 4 C on Thursday night, around 40 F, and then raining for the following 3 days. This of course is why we cruise to Florida. ;)

Well, I just spent some time going back wards and skimming. I wanted to know why George was so upset. I also went to the facebook page and couldn't find anything. George, if those people stopped spending so much money on booze, maybe they could cruise more. It has taken us a long time to get to D+ and we intend to enjoy every bit of it. This is our first official cruise as D+ - we have our pins, luggage tags and are ready to be recognized. We have also spent a lot of money getting here but that was our choice. Larry and I have enjoyed your company on all the cruises we have been on together. Jealousy is a very hard pill to swallow. Too bad that people have to be so rude and nasty. I was just commenting on the other board how great the thread has been and there has been with no real arguments or disagreements. Now this...well don't let them rattle your cage. You have been through a lot and deserve all the good things in life. See you on the ship.

Good Morning

First of all Thank You for your Support on here and your many emails.

I am not going to sit back and let IGNORANT PEOPLE annoy me and keep me off the boards :p

I will as stated be at the D event every evening but will not roll out drunk (never have done)

I also do have a bar bill as I am fond of a few beers during the day and will be found in the champagne bar in the evening after the shows having a Rusty Nail or two.

I have Spent a Hell of a lot of money with RCCL over the last ten years to get to my Diamond plus status both on cruises and my onboard spending.

I am a very grounded person and have never tried to be something that I am not - Yes I can now afford to travel more and fly Business but this is due to the fact that I recently lost the two people in my life who I loved so much, and

have no dependants to leave my estate.

Once again THANK YOU ALL

I will be back on the boards as I do enjoy sharing cruise tips, daily life tales, the odd funny story.

George, very happy to hear. Looking forward to meeting you and hearing some stories.

George, so glad you stuck around, your humor and insight are priceless. I am bound and determined to meet up with our small possy from this board and stick with it (all the way to the glass door of D+ lounge) :) I will be platinum after this cruise and proud of it. Considering all my medical challenges it will be a long time before I am diamond let alone a plus, but I sure am loyal to Royal and hope to get there some day.

In fact I know I want a lil crown and anchor tatoo somewhere! I know tatoos can seem passee (sp?) but when you have had 26 surgeries some times it feels nice to put a mark on your body by choice :). I keep changing my mind on shore tours...was bummed that the online store was out of the 4x4 trucks was sold out (hope to sign up on board). I really enjoy this small board and great group of supportive people. I am starting to pull stuff out, suitcase and odds and ends. Cant wait to meet you all on board and due to my low vision if you see me please come up and say hi, I know we are going to be quite a crowd and it can get overwhelming.

Oh and one last note come hell or high water I am going to Mar Menor so anyone who wants to join me please let me know.

Mike, what a chatty poster you were last night :). Those plans for packing involving travelling back and forth between two houses sound exhausting. I am so glad all I have to do is go up and down between the utility room and the spare bedroom. ;)

So, in addition to 2 church services, it is a clearout time for me. We will be away for 6 weeks, returning only 2 weeks before Christmas. Today I shall defrost the freezer. It is an upright one in the garage and tends to get quite frosty. As that is not a fuel efficient way to leave it, it will be better cleaned out and we can also eat up some of the stuff in there!

Happy Sunday Everyone.

Corinne

Hi Corinne,

Yes I can be very chatty...especially when I have a cocktail at my fingertips....but not tonight ( Sunday ). Got my packing done at the desert house and now it is here in Huntington. I'll post a picture here shortly. I guess one of the reasons I did not participate in this cruise is I could not keep up....because I like to do lots of input but I see you really need to be retired to keep up. But I think I can do this for a week and a half so it will be easy for me. Looking forward to meeting and having fun on board along with everyone else.

Mike,

Are you bringing a wetsuit? Last year on our TA it got chilly so I have borrowed a short sleeve one from a friend. Just not sure what weather might be and don't want to miss any time on the wave during the "advanced surfing" sessions when there is usually one 5-8 people surfing.

Vic

Hey Vic...No I am not......I am use to cold water being from So Cal...The Pacific Ocean here in the OC...we are lucky to see low 70's in the summer..LUCKY! I am bring a couple of shirts made by Champion...they are called Duo-Dry....they do not hold water so I think that should be good for me. I am sooo excited......I want to be a pro by the end of the cruise. I can see myself at the wave pool many many hours.

Mike, did you check out the little Party store by Stater Bros off Date Palm and Ramon. To the right of the store there is a small Party store and I have seen Pink Boas in there also at Michaels on 111 by Jensens. You will leave PS 15 min before we do and 2 days later. Have a safe flight. If memory serves me we will be flying home together out of Dallas.

George nice to see you, I don't frequant this board as I do our RC as that one keeps me hopping.:D but try and say hello often.

Hey there Beej, speaking of hopping, what a pleasure to see you hopping about in here. Will miss not having the chance to meet you.

Gay

Hi Gay.....Picked up to Boas.....HOT PINK.....at the new Dollar store over by Costco in Rancho Mirage. Not that thick but hey....a buck each.....we will have fun with them.

Mike (pscrusinboyz), I see you and Bill have been on the Mariner quite a bit. Did you happen to be on the one the week after Thanksgiving last year?

Hi we were not....On the Mairner 5 times when she was here....before that we were Monarch Guys....And the Radiance several times out of San Diego. That is how we could get to D+ so fast. We do miss RCL on the West Coast but because of the problems in Mexico...I do realize some people are not that happy about going into Mexico anymore. We use to drive to some beach houses a couple times of year about an hour south of the boarder..but we stopped doing that about 3 years ago. But still always felt safe in all of the resort towns that RCL sailed to. Looking forward to share Mairner stories while on the Liberty..I am sure we cruised with many of the same Cruisers.

Good afternoon from another dull day in Manchester. Was supposed to be sunny, but that happened for about 1 minute.

Trying to use Firefox as for some reason Internet Explorer is hogging loads of memory but still trying to get to grips with it.

Have a good rest of the weekend.

Peter....I saw this post and had the same problem today.....Too Much Sun...And not a cloud in the sky.....Thinking of you tonight! :)

Mike I would love to be beside that pool now, the weather here this morning is wild wet cold and windy.

Visited Palm Springs many times over the years and often stayed at CCBC, we made many friends in that area then we started cruising :)

I don't suppose you know Bill Redman and Alex Marcus ? two lovely guys who visited us many times in Scotland.

Mhairi

Was asking about the TSO as my Brother in law is the Conductor

Darlene great you got your D+ Pins and luggage tags, have you seen the Pinnacle name badge ?

Not a lot going on this week, shopping today, friends for lunch Tues, Wed have an Interview for a Voluntary Position with a HIV Prevention Agency, other than that not much

Hope all are well.

Just wanted to jump in and wish everyone traveling soon easy and safe travels. We're having a wonderful time in France, loved the Burgundy wine region--incredible wines and food--to hell with Weight Watchers here....LOL!

The main reason for our visit here is to spend time with David's family, and that has been, of course a wonderful experience. We'll be here 'til Saturday, then off to Madrid.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone on board.

Thanks Mike for sharing the photos, make yet another dull and drizzly day in Manchester seem a little brighter especially when they jump out of the screen.

Karen, lovely to here from you on this side of the pond and so pleased you are enjoying France. It is a beautiful time of year to be there with the vines all changing colour.

Mike, I am SO jealous of your poolside! We have been to PS a few times and it has always rained buckets. Last time there was a drought we were expecting an invite back. ;)

George, good luck with your interview for the volunteer job, I imagine it would be right up yuour street and a perfect thing for you to do in your retirement.

Seeing Mike's pile of clothes makes me think it is time to get serious about sorting things out. My problem is shoes!!!!!!

LOL, believe me, it's MY pleasure to be able to post a message from THIS side of the pond....:D You're right--this was a lovely time to tour the vineyards--the scenery was incredible. Since we just missed the harvest, the vines were all cut back and trimmed, but still magnificent to see. We were very fortunate to have two very intensive winery tours, one at a small family owned vinyard in Chablis, and the other at Chateau Pommard near Beaune. Both were very memorable experiences.

Don't know if this is any interest to UK Cruisers, The rate for the $ in Tesco today is $1.55.5 :) I was going to order online at $1.54.5 and pick up at the Airport but just bought today and got an extra $10 which will give me an extra 2 mins in the casino

Thanks George, good to see the rate is going up from the lows recently. Are you sure $10 gives you that much longer in the casino? Seems to disappear far much faster for me.:D
