Will you be posting more of the menus ? They seem to have changed.

I already posted all the menu pictures I have, sorry I didn't have them all:o. I think they did change the menu a bit since it wasn't exactly the same compare to the one I saw from Zydecocruiser's website.

I love the review, especially the photos ! We'll be on the Glory to Bermuda on Oct. 16. So the Bitter and Blanch was dessert on the elegant night ? Gotta love the food porn ! The drinks look so refreshing wish I had one right now. If you can remember, what were the names of those you includ in the photos so far?

yup, I only saw Bitter and Blanc on elegant night!

Drinks from left to right are "Funship Special", Non alcoholic "Not-so-Fuzzy Navel", "The Kiss on the lips", "Tiramisu Martini" (too strong for my taste), "Mocho Chocolate Getaway", "Pina Colada".

Love your review and pictures.

Did you happen to notice if there were taxis parked by the drop off area?

In June they were across the street. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yellow cab is right across the street where u walk out from the terminal when u do self assist, I think it's pier 88 for us.

We called the car service and the driver was unable to drive to that level (lower level) Maybe it's just his problem, he was not faimilar with the terminal??

We have to went back up to the (upper level) where people were dropping off for him to pick us up…

Thanks for your review!

I found it interesting that you were able to get room service breakfast the last morning. This has never been available on any of my cruises. At least not on RCI and I don't remember being able to do this on Carnival either. Is it something new? It would be great!

I'm sorry for the confusion. We didn't call for room service that morning, we did the door hanger breakfast. You just check what you want from the door hanger breakfast menu and specify the delivery time and hang it outside your door before 5AM. I think room service for the last evening was also available until 5AM.

Actually our cabin have ZERO door hanger breakfast menu, our friends' cabin have several, so we just used theirs.

So you did get room service breakfast the last morning before getting off the ship by putting the thing on the door the night before? I've never been able to do this-no room service on the last morning whether calling that morning or putting the thing out the night before. It's great that you can do that now.

Embarkation/Disembarkation

Just as expected, very smooth. We did self assist disembarkation, it’s quick!

Service

Those who served us (waiter, bartender, steward etc.) were nice and friendly and did their job well. I never encounter any rude employee except two staffs in the gift shops. But overall, services were excellent. :D

Ship/Layout

The ship looks very nice. I saw employees constantly cleaning tables on Lido. I have no problem with the layout whatsoever, as long as you remember Galley on Deck 3, no problem at all. I never have any problem getting around, and was surprise I was never lost too.

If you have a Smartphone, download the shipmate app, no internet connection needed. I have my phone with me at all time on airplane mood as my camera/notebook/watch/music player etc. The app has a very nice ship deck plan.

Our Room

Our rooms were always clean twice a day, always fresh towels. Even though we don’t use ice much, but the ice bucket was always full of fresh ice. Temperature in the room always comfortable for us.

When we booked we had no idea and no planning beforehand, we booked the lowest deck and 2nd and 3rd last room in the Aft. I expected lots of vibration before the trip, but I only noticed it the first night and it was not that bad except when we were docking.

Food- Buffet/Lido

I wish there were more variety of food in the buffet itself. But I am generally satisfied, food were mostly good. I only ate the buffet food on embarkation day lunch and breakfast. The menu or the food of the buffet itself did not appeal to me all other days, but I was never hungry getting food from other sections. I like their fries A LOT, almost ate it everyday! I didn’t realize until now that we missed the chocolate buffet, but its ok, we gained enough weight already :p

Food- Dinning room

We never try the dinning room lunch, so this refers to dinner only. Dinners on first two nights were excellent. Third night was okay, I don’t like their menu for that night. Forth night was disappointing due to the quality. But I am still satisfied, just too greedy and wish it was a little bit better because I heard so many good things about their food quality and variety in the dinning room. I will probably never try sushi or sashimi on the ship again :D. We have no problem with food being only Luke warm or cold. We never see any drink waiter coming to us, probably because we generally don’t drink at dinner.

Activities/Entertainment

Activities were fair, most of the time we were able to find something to do. If the weather was warmer it would be even better! There were not enough activities on the last sea day, in our opinion. But we didn’t get bore, it gave us an opportunity to rest after three busy days on the ship and port, it actually worked out very well!

Overall this is a fun trip, everything just as I expected, except a tiny bit of disappointment at the food department, but its ok, I’m not a picky eater so I'm still satisfied. :p

For me personally, I’m not addicted to crusing yet, I think I will only cruise if I’m going with a whole bunch of friends. It's just me, but I can’t imagine only me and my boyfriend or me and my mom staying on the ship for more than a few days. We are not heavy drinker or gambler. More people more fun for us.

I will definitely at least try another cruise going to more tropical weather. I like Carnival’s causal atmosphere, but the food didn’t leave me craving for more from them, so I guess our next cruise (no plans yet) could be on any cruise line. :D

I still have some random pictures from my friends that I will post up, stay tuned.

We sailed on this sailing as well! The weather was really cool and so foggy for most of the return trip.

It is always interesting reading someone else's perspective of the same sailing. Thanks for the review.

I have to try the WCMC, but was quite disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still very delicious and everyone at our table liked it. But I've too high of an expectation for it, I even like Applebee’s Double Chocolate Meltdown better. It’s still good and we enjoyed it nevertheless.

My friend had the diet orange cake (sorry, no pic), all I can say is she was trying to eat healthy but regretted it :p

The only way we eat the WCMC is to also order the fruit plate. We then dip the fruit in the chocolate batter.

Most of the diet desserts are terrible. The only one that was passable was the diet banana cake.

I had the crab cake, of course it’s not real lump meat crab cake, but it was ok. All of my friends don’t like it, and I had all of theirs. I’m glad I did because my other appetizer, a study in sushi, was just like the cured salmon dish … nasty.

Those two dishes were the only BAD dishes I had in the entire cruise. Everything else is either ok, good, to very good.

We don't think the study in sushi is good. The sushi that you can get at the sushi bar on the ship is better. We once had lunch in the DR and a Japanese girl ordered it. We were going to warn her about it, but she and the rest of her party didn't speak any English. It was kind of amusing watching them pick at the plate and wonder what exactly it was.

I really like the cured salmon appetizer. It's always been very good. But several of the dishes you gals tried are things that I never get (having tried once and didn't like).

Just curious, but I was under the impression that there was NO photos or even cell phones allowed in the terminal buildings. I seem to remember signs being in all over the place (various embarkation ports) that no photos are allowed. I've even seen the Carnival employees go over to people talking on cells and told them they couldn't use them within the port building. Security issues, I guess.

I was also under the impression that no photos were allowed during the shows. Or is that just flash photography? My cell phone doesn't have a flash (of course, it doesn't take very good photos in the dark, either!).

Looking forward to sailing Glory again in a couple of months. Not a big fan of the huge ships, but I really liked her when I sailed her before. She's pretty nicely decorated, for a Farcus ship, and she just seemed to have a good "vibe" about her. Hope that hasn't changed.

Thanks for sharing your experience and photos with us!

I finally saw the whale tail cup on Lido today! I asked 2 different bartenders, they said only can fill it with DOD. The DOD is Ultimate Suntan with.... creme of banana.... I don't like banana... =( Fortunately, they let me buy the whale tail cup alone for $4.95 + 15%

My friend wanted to see people play the Charades on Promenade Deck, so we spend more time in the casino.

We went back to the cabin to change after a while, time for more Jacuzzi before leaving tomorrow~~

The Serenity area was so empty, probably due to the weather, it was so windy up there without any sun, it was a bit cold to stay outside for long. =/

We all went back to the cabin and get ready for the fun farewell party before 5. There was a crowd outside already, we went to get some sushi and had some free drinks. Nice rum punch.

Dinner at 5:45PM today, no wait again, we asked for a table toward the middle section today, the ship was rocking and we definitely felt the movement. We don’t want look at the ocean and waves and get more seasick...

First night sitting at a round table

It's probably just a bad day when we ordered the cured salmon dish, but I shouldn't expect fresh salmon on the ship anyway :o But no big deal, we still enjoyed dinner that evening.

There were signs of no carmera/cellphone allowed when we first got into the terminal building in NY before and during the security check. But after we went thru security and checked in, there is no sign of no cellphone allowed. So everyone (probably 6 out of 10) that were waiting to be board have their cellphone out. All of my pictures of the trip were taken with my cellphone without flash.

No pictures allowed during the show, all pictures in the theater were taken either before or after the shows started or ended.
