yoyocruiser Posted December 30, 2011 #1 Share Posted December 30, 2011 On both the Jewel and the Dawn there was a restaurant that stayed open 23 hours a day for "comfort food"--which included spicy chicken wings. In looking at the restaurants on the Sky I don't see anything comparable. Am I missing something?? I love to go out late with my kids and have those wings, and it also provided an excellent alternative to the buffet and MDRs. I feel like their wings are almost a signature food--LOL--or maybe just with us!! Anyway--if there is no restaurant like this, then does anyone know if the wings are available anywhere?? Thanks!! SliceOfLife Posted December 30, 2011 #2 Share Posted December 30, 2011 I found chicken wings last year on the Sky at Longboard Sports Bar, Deck 11, aft. It's a great place to watch football games too.
spacepotatoes Posted December 30, 2011 #3 Share Posted December 30, 2011 You bet! Longboards is the Sky's equivalent of Blue Lagoon. The wings are awesome :)
davesgirl51 Posted December 30, 2011 #4 Share Posted December 30, 2011 But it doesn't open till around 5 pm.
redlef Posted December 30, 2011 #5 Share Posted December 30, 2011 Are their chicken wings on the Star? No, the Sky uses four-blade Kamewa variable pitch propellors . . . . :D
Sunkissed Mommy Posted December 30, 2011 #6 Share Posted December 30, 2011 Longboards itself will be open any time. DH and I must have gone their when it was between "shifts" because when I asked about food the guy pointed to the sliding glass door that led to the outdoor buffet. Not sure if he was lazy or if it wasn't food serving time in there.
jdvmd Posted December 30, 2011 #7 Share Posted December 30, 2011 Open from 5:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. Chicken wings come in mild or spicy, six pieces to an order with celery and dipping sauce (not sure if ranch or blue cheese). You can order more than one serving per person.

jerseagal Posted December 31, 2011 #9 Share Posted December 31, 2011 Longboards. According to my 16year old grandson they are the best he ever ate! And eat them he did. Every evening he a group of 6 other teens he met would sit and pack them away!
yoyocruiser Posted December 31, 2011 Author #10 Share Posted December 31, 2011 Thnak you all for this information!! I had no idea that Longboards would be somewhat the equivalent to Blue Lagoon--but I guess no breakfast there. That's great to know the wings are available. Just wondering if Longboards has a similar (to Blue Lagoon) menu and is it a restaurant type of place--or is a bar that serves chicken wings and maybe a couple of other snacks. Think of it as a sports bar that serves comfort food. TVs mounted around the room. No breakfast that is correct. The other menu items are pretty much the same. I remember the spinach artichoke dip, chicken wings, chicken tenders and fries, fish and chips, burger, chicken sandwich, some soups, want to say there was a panini also. Cheesecake with blueberry topping, strawberry shortcake. That's all I can remember. Longboards has a great beer menu. Popcorn also.
yoyocruiser Posted December 31, 2011 Author #12 Share Posted December 31, 2011 Thank you JDVMD! That's exactly what I wanted to know. And I will be a happy camper for sure--favorite thing to do with my college age kids--eat chicken wings in the middle of the night!!:D:D

I know a couple of times, my son ordered the mild and ended up getting the spicy.
Rare Tom-n-Cheryl Posted December 31, 2011 #15 Share Posted December 31, 2011 But it doesn't open till around 5 pm. That, oddly enough, is one of the main negatives (IMO) with the Sky. We typically "crave" wings at two different times. The first would be early/mid afternoon with a couple of beers. The second would be late in the evening, prior to bed. On the Sky, we are out of luck during the day. Tom

Rare Tom-n-Cheryl Posted December 31, 2011 #18 Share Posted December 31, 2011 Where is the rest of the chicken????? Just rolling around the floor, wingless? Well, I typically like (in addition to wings) dark meat. That leaves a lot of breasts out there! Tom
